Maine College of Art (MECA)
MeCa is a dynamic college of art and

Massachusetts College of Art and
Design (MassArt)
founded in 1873, Massart is the only statefunded
public arts school in the Us. along
with film/video and the unique studio for
interrelated Media division, photography is
found under the Department of Media and
Performing arts. Massart offers both a Bfa
and Mfa in photography and encourages
students to pursue their work in a variety
of imaging media and formats, from documentary,
installation, and video to digitally
altered, mixed media, and/or multimedia.

Massachusetts Institute
of Technology (MIT)
Mit students can explore art within a
social context through the visual arts
Program (which also offers a Ms in visual
studies); participate in collaborations between
artists and scientists through the
Center for advanced visual studies; and
develop their talents through the student
art association. Photography is offered
under the school of architecture and
Planning, but cross-disciplinary connections
are always encouraged. Programs are
enhanced by exhibitions at the list visual
arts Center and Mit Museum.

Newbury College
a small college located in Brookline, newbury
combines general education with a
professional focus, offering bachelor, associate,
and certificate degrees. Photography
classes are offered under the school of arts,
sciences and Design and are often taken by
students in the Graphic Design or Communication
