As per these Rules, the busbody builders in the country would be accredited through thesystem of zonal and national level accreditation Board. It isexpected that these Rules would come into effect from March23, 2008. This would bring uniformity in the bus body design andenhance safety and comfort to the passenger.OutlookUnder the 11th Plan, a huge impetus is being given toinvestments in roads in view of its key role in connectivity andtrade facilitation.Projected investments in the roads and bridgessector during the 11th PlanDuring the 10th Plan, the total investment outlay in the roadsector was to the tune of Rs 1,448 billion (approximately USD 35billion).
