The programme aimedto institutionalise a Punj Lloydemployee-driven and worker-ownedprogramme of HIV/AIDS awareness.For Medicity, World AIDS Day was aspecial event appreciating the effortsof Mentors and Ambassadors whohad worked hand in hand with SNSFoundation, the implementing partnerof the programme.In a gathering comprising theDistrict Health Officer, GurgaonDr Chandra Mohan, DeputyCommissioner of Police, IPS,Gurgaon, Rakesh Kumar Arya,President of Network of PositivePeople, Ms Meena Dalal, theAmbassadors and the Mentorswere awarded specially designed‘Certificates of Appreciation’ fortheir involvement in the programme.These Mentors and Ambassadorsare now empowered to take forwardthis wealth of information on HIV/AIDS at the workplace and educateothers in the society.A puppet and a magic showbased on HIV/AIDS awareness werealso organised at the work site.The dignitaries presentapplauded the efforts put in by theproject team for bringing awarenessof HIV/AIDS at the work place andconveyed their best wishes for theproject progress. uUpdate > Aug-Dec 2007 18
