Step 2: Apply for the Student <strong>Visa</strong>To apply for your visa, you typically need the following materials: (1) the <strong>COE</strong> (2) visaapplication available at the embassy/consulate, (3) valid passport, (4) one 2-inch squarepassport-sized photograph, <strong>and</strong> (5) proof of residence.The embassy/consulate might also require a copy of your TUJ admission letter, <strong>and</strong>some may charge processing fees. If you need an official admission letter on <strong>Temple</strong>letterhead, please contact the Office of Graduate <strong>and</strong> International Programs at the maincampus on an as-needed basis.Each consulate sets its own hours <strong>and</strong> requirements for visa applications. Some requireappointments or a few business days to process applications, while others will processyour application while you wait. Some require you to send all your materials by mail.You must call or visit the web-site of your local consulate to determine that consulate’sprocedures <strong>and</strong> requirements, as well as to plan for any holiday closures (especially inlate December).
