Step 2: Apply for the Student VisaTo apply for your visa, you typically need the following materials: (1) the COE (2) visaapplication available at the embassy/consulate, (3) valid passport, (4) one 2-inch squarepassport-sized photograph, and (5) proof of residence.The embassy/consulate might also require a copy of your TUJ admission letter, andsome may charge processing fees. If you need an official admission letter on Templeletterhead, please contact the Office of Graduate and International Programs at the maincampus on an as-needed basis.Each consulate sets its own hours and requirements for visa applications. Some requireappointments or a few business days to process applications, while others will processyour application while you wait. Some require you to send all your materials by mail.You must call or visit the web-site of your local consulate to determine that consulate’sprocedures and requirements, as well as to plan for any holiday closures (especially inlate December).
