The publication will consist <strong>of</strong> a collection <strong>of</strong> essaysfrom prominent Australasian academics <strong>and</strong> practitioners, as well as a comprehensivecatalogue <strong>of</strong> projects delivered during <strong>the</strong> most remarkable period <strong>of</strong> capital investmentin health infrastructure ever seen in <strong>the</strong> region.The publication will be provided complimentary to all federal <strong>and</strong> state healthdepartments in Australasia, <strong>and</strong> to all delegates at <strong>the</strong> 9th <strong>Design</strong> & <strong>Health</strong> WorldCongress in Brisbane, with copies also available <strong>for</strong> sale during <strong>and</strong> post <strong>the</strong> event.Who should submit?The publication is open to any Australasian or international organisations in both <strong>the</strong>private <strong>and</strong> public sectors involved on <strong>the</strong> design <strong>and</strong>/or delivery <strong>of</strong> a healthcare buildingin Australia or New Zeal<strong>and</strong> during <strong>the</strong> period 2000-2015.The submission requirements:Each entry, must be submitted with <strong>the</strong> following in<strong>for</strong>mation <strong>and</strong> materials:a) Completed Submission Form: The submission <strong>for</strong>m must be completed in full by<strong>the</strong> deadline <strong>of</strong> 3 May, 2013.b) A Project Description (750 words), highlighting <strong>the</strong> project narrative, <strong>the</strong> brief<strong>and</strong> how <strong>the</strong> challenges were met; <strong>the</strong> model <strong>of</strong> care; <strong>the</strong> use <strong>and</strong> application <strong>of</strong>research in <strong>the</strong> design process; examples <strong>of</strong> innovation; <strong>and</strong> any post-occupancyfeedback (if available). The description should be in an accessible style <strong>of</strong> prosethat is succinct <strong>and</strong> factual, but with attention paid to avoid excessive elaborations.c) Images <strong>and</strong> illustrations: A comprehensive selection <strong>of</strong> fully labelled, pr<strong>of</strong>essionallyphotographed high resolution (300dpi) images in tiff, eps or jpeg <strong>for</strong>mat in largesize (300x300mm). Images should include a full selection <strong>of</strong> interior <strong>and</strong> exteriorfeatures <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> project, concept drawings, plans <strong>and</strong> sections (if available).d) Copyright: It is a condition <strong>of</strong> submission that all written material, layout plans <strong>and</strong>images submitted may be reproduced by <strong>the</strong> IADH at no cost to <strong>the</strong>mselves insuch a <strong>for</strong>m <strong>and</strong> in such media (print <strong>and</strong> online) as <strong>the</strong> IADH deems appropriate<strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> production or promotion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> publication.Selection <strong>of</strong> submissions:All submissions <strong>of</strong> projects will be considered <strong>for</strong> publication in <strong>the</strong> project directory,if completed during <strong>the</strong> period <strong>of</strong> 2000-2015. An editorial decision will be made asto which projects feature in <strong>the</strong> project review section, which will include lengthierdescriptions <strong>and</strong> multiple images. The IADH retains <strong>the</strong> right to edit <strong>the</strong> submittedmaterial <strong>and</strong> to decline any project <strong>for</strong> publication without explanation.
