It will include also a restyling in the packaging, even thoughsome small enterprises are already proposing bottles with local traditionaldesign.At the moment the Palestinian Consortium for the production of oliveoil is at its beginning. It is within the project specific objectives tofacilitate this association in creating an efficient office and in helpingin spreading the trademark. The Italian Ministry of foreign Affairs’ initiativeentails also the printing and distribution of informative materialand an adequate promotion through the media.Since the Palestinian olive oil has all the characteristics to channelat an international level the image of the Country, the Italian Programforesees also very important efforts and recourses in communicationand marketing. In this context the Italian Cooperation Office inJerusalem will conduct an awareness campaign aimed both at givinginformation on the Italian initiative and at providing indications onhow to prevent from the indiscriminate use of pesticides, in closedcollaboration with the Center for Environmental and OccupationalHealth Sciences, Bir Zeit University of Bir Zeit, Ramallah District.Dr. Franco PerlottoProject Manager IAOPag. 15
