Item no.2 :- Approval for import of an additional Gas based 8.7 MW eng<strong>in</strong>efor power generation: -The proposal of M/s. <strong>Moser</strong> <strong>Baer</strong> <strong>India</strong> <strong>Ltd</strong>. SEZ Power plant unit wasdeferred by UAC <strong>in</strong> its last meet<strong>in</strong>g held on 9.7.10 for want of justification, Now,unit has submitted their justification vide their letter dt. 29.07.2010 as under:a. Power generation cost shall be reduced to Rs. 4.20 per unit <strong>in</strong>stead ofRs.6/-b. Requirement of additional load after function<strong>in</strong>g of PVTIL, unit – IIc. To develop clean environmentd. To develop standby mode ande. To reduce pollutant contentsThe proposal is once aga<strong>in</strong> put up before UAC for consideration.3. Item No. 3.: - Ratification - M/s <strong>Moser</strong> <strong>Baer</strong> <strong>India</strong> <strong>Ltd</strong>. SEZ (Developer) videtheir letters dt. 21.07.2010 & 22.07.2010 had requested to approve duty freeimport/ procurement of goods (as per annexure enclosed with the aforesaid letter).Keep<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> view the urgency expla<strong>in</strong>ed by the Developer, the approval wasgranted by the DC on file. The same is placed before UAC for ratification.4. Item No. 4: - Approval of List of Materials for Authorized Operations: - M/s<strong>Moser</strong> <strong>Baer</strong> <strong>India</strong> <strong>Ltd</strong>. SEZ (Developer) vide their letters dt30.07.2010,02.08.2010 & 06.08.2010 has requested to approve duty free import/ procurementof goods (as per annexure enclosed with the aforesaid letter) required for theauthorized operations as approved by BOA and conveyed by DOC vide letter dt.01.09.2006.In terms of rules 12 of SEZ Rules ’06, approval of the Approval Committee isrequired for import/ purchase of duty free goods. The Chartered Eng<strong>in</strong>eer hasauthenticated the requirements of the developer. All the requirements are relat<strong>in</strong>gto the authorized operations and found listed <strong>in</strong> the list of operations approved byBOA.The proposal is placed before UAC for consideration.Contd-2

Export of Capital goods:-M/s BOC <strong>India</strong> ltd. vide their letter dt. 20.7.10 & 27.7.10 has requested toallow export of N2 plant which is ly<strong>in</strong>g surplus/ idle <strong>in</strong> the premises. The samewas imported by them from ch<strong>in</strong>a <strong>in</strong> Jan.2009 but could not be <strong>in</strong>stalled as therequirement of Units <strong>in</strong> said SEZ is catered by purchase of nitrogen from localmarket. It was imported for the requirement of PVTIL but their two l<strong>in</strong>es gotdelayed. Proviso of Rule 34 of SEZ rules, 2006 permits to allow such export ofcapital goods.1.
