Benefits for womenIn Kenya and Indonesia, we introduced an integrated approachon gender, HIV, and human rights, which benefited thousandsof women. Now, women have skills to stand up for themselves,condom use has increased, and domestic violence hasdecreased. Also the women’s financial situation has improved.The approach is adopted by many others, including theAnglican Church in Kenya.HIV in the workplaceJointly with more than 150 civil society organisations inUganda, India, and Ethiopia, we developed a method foraddressing HIV in the workplace. Stigma at the workplacewas reduced by 88%, whereas access to health care amongemployees increased up to 63%. The method is expanded to tencountries involving more than 500 organisations.Treatment as PreventionWe are first to lead a ground-breaking showcase project onTreatment as Prevention for the population of Swaziland, jointlywith the Clinton Health Access Initiative and the Swazilandgovernment.
