SAFETY TIP #1 – DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP ZONESDelay your pick-up time: A useful tip for parents to avoid the peak drop-off and pick-up zones is to delay yourafternoon pick-up by 5 to 10 minutes to allow time for your daughters to be ready for you at the gate and for thetraffic to ease. Teachers are on duty for Junior School students until 3.05 pm in the Loop and on Stephens Road, while Middle and Senior School teachers are on duty in Graham Street and on Stephens Road until 3.30 pm toensure students are safe. The problem in arriving early is that if your daughter is not ready to be collected you arecontributing to congestion in pick-up areas and stopping other parents from collecting their daughters. In particular, Middle and Senior School parents should only arrive to collect students after 3.10 pm,especially on Stephens Road. The limited designated area on Stephens Road is used for collection of studentsin Years 5 and 6 from 2.45 pm. Any Middle or Senior School parents arriving before 3.10 pm limits the opportunityfor parents to collect their younger daughters in this zone. The Seymour Library is open to Middle and SeniorSchool students until 4:30 pm for those students who wish to get a head start on homework, while providing amuch more relaxing pick-up for parents.P&F NEWSFROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE P&F, MRS WENDY COXOn behalf of the P&F I would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who helped in the Uniform Shop overthese last two weeks of the school holidays - Lakna Alahakoon, Helen Barnard, Catherine Barnard, SarahBellchambers, Kanchana Bishop, Emily Cox, Sarah Cox, Rose Dunmill, Laura Healy, Jo Hulme, Lara Hulme, AydaInsel and Jennifer Williams.
