Our VarsityRoger Football, Burger, Volleyball, Athletic Boys Director Golf, Girls Golf andCross Country programs designated a homeevent to participate in Patriot Days. Allparticipants gathered at the events to have apicture taken with the sign ―One Team USA.‖The pictures, signed game balls, and letterswill be sent over in a care package to ourtroops serving overseas. It was a pleasure toannounce at the Golden Shovel Game thenames and ranks of LHHS and Mohave HighSchool’s Alumni that have or are currentlyserving in the armed forces. We appreciatethe sacrifice and service you provide all of us.Our football teams are going to wear ―Pink‖ insupport of Breast Cancer Awareness at thegames on the following dates: Varsity Footballteam and Spiritline- October 1 st , JV- October7 th , and FR -October 20 th . The volleyball teamwill also wear ―Pink‖ jerseys and the swimteam ―Pink‖ caps in a show of support. Way togo teams for going ―Pink‖.The Lake Havasu High School Athletic BoosterClub is selling Athletic T-Shirts representingFootball, Spiritline, Golf, Cross Country,Volleyball and Swimming. These quality teamsport shirts cost $10.00 only and are for salein the LHHS bookstore. Students are allowedto wear these shirts on Fridays only. Stop bythe bookstore and support your school!I would like to thank all the parents forhelping out with the snack bar and boosterclub. If you can help volunteer at least onetime this year we would greatly appreciate it.Please contact me if you are able to help theAthletic Booster Club.Girls SoccerGirls’ soccer is going to hold an informationmeeting on October 11 at 5:00 in J hall 119.Boys SoccerAttention all boys interested in playing soccerfor the 2010-2011 season: Pick up an athleticpacket in the LHHS athletic office. Return thecomplete packet to the athletic office no laterthan October 15th to begin tryouts on time.November 1 st will be the first day of tryouts.We will meet on the practice field at 3:10pmready to begin practice. Shin guards, cleatsand a plain white shirt are required toparticipate.Athletes from fall sports competing in playoffswill be given a 3 day tryout after their currentseason is over. If your fall season is overbefore the start of soccer tryouts; you mustreport November 1st. Only players involved inplayoffs will be given the additional 3 days. Nostudent will be added after the 11th day ofpractice.
