General InformationNotificationInformation contained in this brochure is not an offer ora contract. The transportation of guests and baggageon <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>’ vessels is provided solely by theOperator and is governed by the Terms and Conditionsprinted on the Guest Ticket/Contract. For completeinformation on Terms and Conditions, itineraries, liabilityof <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>, and all sections mentioned below,please refer to the Guest Ticket/Contract. Uponbooking the cruise, all of the Terms and Conditionsof the Guest Ticket/Contract shall be binding on theparties thereto.FaresFares are per person and are based on double occupancy.Fares do not include pre-paid charges, personal chargesor optional facilities and service fees, as those termsare clearly defined in the Guest Ticket/Contract. Also notincluded are shore excursions, meals ashore, baggagehandling, gratuities, beverages not part of the regularmenu, laundry service and other onboard amenitiesand services, including spa treatments. InternationalBrochure Fares, Intro Fares, Special Fares and Backto Back Fares include cruise-related government feesand taxes.Deposit and PaymentsThe per person, per cruise deposit required to secureyour reservation is 20% of the applicable cruise farefor Owner’s, Vista and <strong>Oceania</strong> Suites and €500 for allother suite/stateroom categories and must be receivedwithin 7 days of your initial reservation. Final balancedue must be received no later than 151 days prior tocruise departure for cruises of 20 days or longer and91 days prior to cruise departure for all other cruises,together with passport details and any special onboardservice requests; otherwise, booking may be subject toimmediate cancellation and any applicable penalties.American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, TravelAgency checks and personal checks are accepted fordeposits and full payments. For your convenience, yourFinal Payment may be automatically charged to the creditcard used to make the initial deposit. <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>accepts no responsibility for credit card foreign currency/transaction processing fees independently assessed byissuing banks. None of these fees separately chargedby the issuing banks accrues to the benefit of <strong>Oceania</strong><strong>Cruises</strong>. Third party credit card charges can only beaccepted when accompanied by valid authorization tocharge from the relevant card owner.Single SupplementsThere will be a charge for single occupancy of 200% ofthe double occupancy suite or stateroom fare.Third and Fourth GuestsThird and fourth guests in a stateroom will be charged acruise only rate of €120 per person per day.Children, Infants and Unaccompanied MinorsInfants must be one year of age as of the first day of thecruise. Guests travelling with a young infant that doesnot meet the infant policy will be denied boarding. Norefunds or other compensation shall be due from <strong>Oceania</strong><strong>Cruises</strong> to anyone as a result of the denial of boardingto an underage infant or any accompanying guests. Anyguest under the age of 18 must be accompanied byand occupy the same stateroom as an adult 18 yearsor older. <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> does not provide for the care,entertainment or supervision of children.Guest Etiquette and Consideration<strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>, its Masters, General Managers, ChiefPursers or any other deputized figures of authorityonboard the vessels reserve the right, at their solediscretion, to disembark any guest, in any port of call,for any reason, should they be considered a nuisanceto or endanger the “quiet enjoyment” of guests onboardor if they are found to be a nuisance, threat or dangerto guests, staff or otherwise hinder the safe andsecure operation of the vessel or any associated landprogrammes. Any guest(s) disembarked from the vesselsor associated land programmes are solely responsible forany costs incurred with repatriation. The full cruise farewill be considered earned and retained and no refundsor reimbursements given. Please refer to Guest Ticket/Contract for further detailed information.Pregnancy<strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> cannot accept guests who will haveentered their 24th week of pregnancy by the beginningof, or at any time during, the cruise.ReservationsTo reserve your <strong>Oceania</strong> cruise, please contact yourTravel Agent. International clients must be bookedthrough travel agencies within their respective countryof residence.Changes to a ReservationChanges to a reservation after deposit and prior toissuance of travel documents may result in assessmentof administrative fees and service charges beyond thecontrol of <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>. Administrative fees andservice charges will vary and are based on the type ofchange to your cruise departure, itinerary, hotel or landpackage. Guests are responsible for any additional costsincurred as a result of these changes. Some changes,including name changes, may also be consideredcancellations and applicable fees will be assessed. Anychanges to a reservation that result in imposition ofairline or other cancellation fees are the responsibility ofthe guest. No refund will be made for unused or partiallyused portions of the cruise, including shore excursions orair/land programmes arranged by third parties, except asspecifically outlined in the Guest Ticket/Contract.Cancellation and RefundsA 100% cancellation fee will be imposed as indicatedfor non-appearance or the absence of written notice.Fare is defined as the full cost of any cruise or aircomponent purchased from <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>, excludingoptional facilities and services fees. Please refer to thefull Terms and Conditions of the Guest Ticket/Contractfor fees relating to the cancellation of optional facilitiesand services.A full refund of payments received will be madewhen <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> receives written noticeof cancellation as indicated by the CancellationFee Schedule listed here. Cancellation notices must bereceived by <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> in writing. When practicable,<strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> will promptly notify guests or their TravelAgent of a cruise itinerary change.Responsibility<strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> accepts no liability or responsibility,whether occasioned by railroad, motor coach, private car,boat, aircraft or any other conveyance, for any injuries,damages, loss, accident, delay or irregularity whichmay be caused either by reason of defect, through theacts or defaults of any company or person or in carryingout the arrangements of the cruise or cruisetour asa result of any cause beyond the control of <strong>Oceania</strong><strong>Cruises</strong>. Guests specifically release <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> fromany and all claims for loss or damage to baggage orproperty or from personal injuries or death, or from lossor delay arising out of the acts, omissions or negligenceof any independent contractors, such as air carriers,hotels, shore excursion operators, restauranteurs,transportation providers, medical personnel or otherproviders of services or facilities. All arrangementsmade with independent contractors are made solely forthe convenience of guests and are done at the guests’own risk. Medical personnel are independent contractors.<strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> specifically disclaims all liabilitiesfor damages for emotional distress, mental sufferingor psychological injury of any kind, except to the extentprovided by 46 U.S.C. §183. Tickets, vouchers and anyother travel documents are subject to all terms andconditions of the respective suppliers, some of which maylimit a supplier’s liability. Please refer to the Guest Ticket/Contract for further detailed information.Independent Travel Arrangements<strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> does not provide air transportation forinternational guests. Flights can be purchased separatelyfrom your Travel Agent along with your cruise and anyother land arrangements that you may require. <strong>Oceania</strong><strong>Cruises</strong> has no responsibility with regard to air or landtravel arrangements that have been made by third-partyagents, including non-refundable, restricted travel orfrequent flyer tickets. This exclusion of liability includesconsequences to independently arranged air or landtravel that may result in last minute changes in theembarkation or debarkation ports, and delays in arrivalat any airport or port location. Please refer to the GuestTicket/Contract for full Terms and Conditions of theseexclusions.Seat Assignments & Pre-Flight ArrangementsAny pre-flight arrangements, such as seat assignments,frequent flyer programmes, wheelchair requests, oxygenor special meal requests, must be made by the guestdirectly with the airlines based on their policies andprocedures. <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> cannot confirm any specialairline requests unless otherwise specified. These specialrequests and services should be arranged by your TravelAgent directly with the airlines.Baggage PolicyLuggage for <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>’ guests must be handledpursuant to regulations and tariffs of airlines,government security requirements and ground operators.Luggage exceeding these limitations will be subjectto charges as set forth by the individual operators,including any excess baggage charges. Fees for checkedluggage are now common and are the responsibility ofthe guest. Please check with your specific airline(s) fortheir respective luggage policy. <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> reservesthe right to refuse any items that may be considereddangerous (explosives, firearms, liquid oxygen,combustible or illegal items). <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> reservesthe right to search any baggage for security reasons.All hand-carried luggage and personal effects are theresponsibility of the guest at all times. <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>is not responsible for the loss of or damage to guests’luggage. Baggage insurance is recommended. Luggageand personal belongings will be taken off the ship uponguest debarkation. Under no circumstances will luggagebe kept onboard without the owner of such luggage beingon the vessel. Guests may bring a reasonable amount ofluggage onboard an <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> vessel. No baggageor items heavier than 70 lbs. will be loaded onto or offloadedfrom our vessels. Please refer to your Guest Ticket/Contract for all applicable Terms and Conditions.Documentation and VisasPassport and Visa requirements, and regulations inregards to vaccination certificates and other healthrequirements vary by destination. It is the soleresponsibility of each guest to obtain and have availablethe appropriate valid travel and health documents fortheir chosen itinerary. Any guest travelling without theproper documentation will not be allowed to board thevessel and no refund of cruise fare or any other travelcomponents purchased from <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> will beissued. Passports must be valid six months from thedate of trip completion. Due to airline security measures,your passport name must match your airline ticketname or you may be denied boarding. <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>accepts no responsibility for obtaining required visasnor for advising guests of visa or other immigrationrequirements beyond the guidelines indicated.<strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> does not provide visas, except whenguests take <strong>Oceania</strong> shore excursions in Russia. Atselected other ports <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> provides visasonboard at a cost if not already purchased – a full listof ports where this is provided, as well as details of allsailings where British citizens must purchase visas inadvance can be found on the <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> page on thewebsite of our visa partners, CIBT - uk.cibt.com/oceania.Travel AdvisoriesThe U.S. Department of State’s Consular InformationSheets are available for every country of the world.<strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> recommends that all guests visit theU.S. Department of State’s web site at http://travel.state.gov to obtain information concerning the status of anyadvisories or warnings issued to travellers for specificcountries around the world.Cruise DocumentsAll final cruise documents and other arrangements madeby <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> on behalf of the guest(s) will be sentto the designated travel agency or directly to the guestapproximately 21 days prior to sail date. A service feemay be charged for early issuance of documentation orfor the expedited shipment of documents.ClothingRecommended onboard clothing is resort or country clubcasual.For evening dining, elegant casual resort wearis suggested. We request that jeans, shorts, t-shirts ortennis shoes not be worn at dinner.BoardingGuests are required to be onboard the vessel at leasttwo hours prior to the scheduled departure time. Shouldthe (in)actions of any guest(s) result in the vessel notsailing at its scheduled departure time, <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>shall assess Late Departure Fees, beginning at $1,000per guest, to said guest(s) directly responsible for anydeparture that is delayed more than 15 minutes beyondthe scheduled and published departure time, to cover thecosts levied against <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> by port authorities,governmental and quasi-governmental agencies asagreed and liquidated damages.SmokingFor the safety and security of all guests and staffonboard, Designated Smoking Areas are available onthe forward, starboard corner of the Pool Deck andin the aft, port corner of Horizons. These areas arecomfortably furnished and conveniently located nearfood and beverage areas. Smoking is expressly forbiddenin all staterooms and suites, on verandas, or in any areasof the ship other than officially Designated SmokingAreas. Smoking in a stateroom or suite or on a verandarepresents a serious fire and safety hazard to all guestsand staff. Guests choosing to disregard this policy willbe disembarked at the next port of call and may alsobe subject to additional fees that will be imposed tocover the costs associated with any damage to andthe required cleaning of furnishings, verandas andsurrounding deck and accommodation areas. All areasother than those specified as Designated Smoking Areaswill remain smoke-free. This includes all guest suitesand staterooms, verandas, restaurants, public areas,the Casino and all other areas of the ship. Cigar andpipe smoking is only permitted on the forward, starboardcorner of the Pool Deck.Medical ServicesEach of our vessels is equipped with limited medicalfacilities and staffed by internationally accreditedmedical personnel. Customary Emergency Room fees andcharges do apply for medical services and are dictated bythe services performed by the ship’s medical staff. Guestswith any medical condition(s) or special needs that mayrequire treatment or attention or accommodation duringthe voyage, or needing to travel with medical apparatus,including wheelchairs, motorized scooters, oxygentherapy, etc., must advise <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> in writing attime of deposit. Please note some ports of call may notbe suitable for guests with limited mobility and in suchcases, may preclude debarkation for any individual withlimited mobility, with or without the aid of a wheelchairor motorized scooter. <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> has the right torefuse or revoke passage to anyone who, in its judgment,is in a physical, mental or emotional condition unfit fortravel or whose comfort onboard may be compromiseddue to situations beyond the care that can be providedby <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>.Alcohol PolicyThe sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages will belimited to guests aged 21 years or older. <strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong>will refuse and prohibits the sale or service of alcoholicbeverages to guests under the age of 21 years. Guestsare kindly reminded to consume alcohol in moderation.<strong>Oceania</strong> <strong>Cruises</strong> reserves the right to prohibit and retainall alcohol bought ashore for consumption onboardthe vessel.GratuitiesHow much you choose to tip is a personal matter andcompletely at your discretion. For your convenience thefollowing gratuities are automatically added to yourshipboard account. For guests occupying staterooms,gratuities of $14.50 per guest, per day will be added. Forguests occupying Penthouse, <strong>Oceania</strong>, Vista or Owner’sSuites where Butler Service is provided, gratuities of$20.50 per guest, per day will be added. In addition,an 18% service gratuity is automatically added to allbeverage purchases, spa services and dinner at LaReserve.
