Paul Nixon Basketball <strong>Camp</strong>sDirector Paul Nixon brings 15years of NCAA Division I coachingexperience to the Columbia women’sbasketball program. Nixon is a 1993graduate of Vanderbilt University. Hebegan his collegiate coaching career asan assistant at Marshall University, andhe followed his stint there with stops at the University ofNevada, Southern Mississippi and, most recently, IndianaUniversity. At Columbia, Nixon has coached three playerswho have received <strong>All</strong>-Ivy recognition, including 1,000 pointscorer Megan Griffith. Nixon also mentored the leadingthree point shooter in NCAA Women's Basketball for the2006-07 season. He is completing his third season as headcoach at Columbia University.Elite Women's Basketball Position <strong>Camp</strong> isdesigned for top level high school players who arelooking to challenge themselves this summer to take theirgames to the next level. With unrivaled enthusiasm and passion,Jones has brought new meaning to the words “ColumbiaBasketball,” causing the foundation to grow from the steadystream of alumni and fans that support the <strong>Lion</strong>s withevery jump ball. Joe Jones’ accomplishments continue toaccumulate, and he is nowhere near finished.
