Regular dog treatments, strict dog control, a prohibition on the feeding of uncookedoffal to dogs and regulation of open slaughter of livestock could prevent most common zoonoses.Increase in numbers of both human and animal has also altered the ecological balance in the region.Hence role of pets, domestic and wild animals in the spread of parasitic zoonoses should be carefullyconsidered in health planning. The preparation of herbal medicines remains an important part of healthcare for both human andlivestock, especially in rural areas in the state by the traditional migratory communities.
