KAESER Rotary Blowers – Efficient and DurableRenowned throughout the world for their efficiency and durability,KAESER’s compact blower blocks are the result of decades ofexperience in blower manufacture and design. All KAESER blocksare suitable for operation at pressures up to 1000 mbar(g) andtemperatures up to 160°C. If a lower operating pressure is required, users can be safe in the knowledge that their KAESER blower will stilldeliver outstanding performance even at high intake temperatures. Thishigh temperature capacity ensures a wider control range for speedcontrolledoperation and provides additional energy savings by allowingoperation at minimal flow volumes. Each blower block’s rotors andshafts are perfectly balanced to Q 2.5 standards for smooth, troublefreerunning. This not only significantly enhances durability, but alsokeeps total operating costs to an absolute minimum.Kaeser blower blocks use heavy duty cylinder roller bearingswhich are able to withstand ten times the dynamic load exerted onconventional self-aligning bearings. As a result, they last significantlylonger – 100,000 h – which means reduced maintenance costs(expense for new bearings) and increased system availability.Furthermore, Kaeser blower blocks use high precision spurgroundtiming gears and minimal flank clearance plays a major rolein contributing to the block’s outstanding volumetric efficiency (Nm³per kWh). These spur gears allow the use of highly durable cylinderroller bearings, as the radial forces associated with beveled gears arecompletely eliminated.Rotary blowersfor oil-free airHighly durable bearingsHeavy-duty cylinder roller bearingscompletely absorb the continuouslychanging radial gas-forces thatare exerted on the rotors and achievean operational life of up to 100,000hours.Non-wearing sealThe well-proven labyrinth seals withpressure equalising channels are fittedas standard. Other types of seal areavailable on request.Precision synchronisationHigh precision 5f 21-rated spur-groundtiming gears have minimal flankclearance and a play major role incontributing to the block’s outstandingvolumetric efficiency. How a KAESER rotary blower works OMEGA PAs the rotors turn, air in the inlet is trapped between the rotor lobes andthe casing and is carried round to the outlet without being compressed. The casing bore toward the discharge port is slightly eccentric sothat as the lobe approaches the port the gap between it and thecasing begins to widen. This allows gradual equalisation of pressurebetween the air in the discharge port and that in the chamber behindthe advancing lobe. Pressure equalisation in two-lobe blocks occursabruptly as the advancing lobe crosses the lip of the discharge port. This is the main reason why three-lobe blocks generate significantlyless pulsation than two-lobe blocks. The air is then finally pushed outagainst the pressure in the pipework.Optimised lubricationOil slinger-discs at each shaft endensure that all relevant bearings andgears are evenly lubricated. The gearand drive side are both lubricated.Stable rotorsThe rotors and shafts are machinedin one piece and balanced to Q 2.5standards for smooth, trouble-freerunning. This provides exceptionalreliability and durability. The mouldingcavities at both ends of the rotors areclosed off with end caps.SuctionConveying to discharge sideMade in GermanyMade in Germany to the highest qualitystandards, KAESER blower blocks androtors are manufactured using the mostadvanced production technology to ensureoptimum product quality.Solid block casingCast as a single piece, the casinghas a distinctive ribbed structurethat not only provides addedstrength and rigidity, but alsoensures optimum heat dissipation.Rotors with sealing stripThe rotor lobes are equipped withintegrated sealing strips that reducesensitivity to contaminated intake airand thermal overloading.Pressure equalizationDischarge

Vacuum blowers with pre-inlet coolingModel: Omega PVField of applicationFor use in low vacuum ranges up to 100 mbar (a) or 900 mbar vacuum.FunctionIf vacuum (yellow) occurs betweenthe rotor and the casing ambientair (blue) enters the blower blockvia so-called pre-inlet channels asthe rotors continue to turn. The twovolume flows subsequently combineand the arising compression heat isdissipated throughout a much largervolume of trapped air. This approachtherefore achieves the same dischargetemperatures that are produced bynormal blower blocks.Application examplesStationary application: Centralisedvacuum production (left photo)Portable application: Suction andsilo vehicles (right photo)Technical Specifications: Omega PVModel: OMEGA-PMax. suction capacityat 600 mbar vacuumMax. suction capacityat 800 mbar vacuumMax. speedMax. pressure dropPressureVacuumMax. drive powerDimensionsLength, without drive shaftWidthHeightConnection flange, inlet & discharge ports DNConnection flange, pre-inlet channelsWeightm³/minm³/minrpmmbarmbarmbarkWmmmmmmmmmmmmkg62PV 63PV 82PV 83PV 84PV37 51 87 117 14529 39 72 97 1203700 3700 3000 2700 25001000 1000 1000 1000 800900 900 900 900 80080 100 180 220 250625 625 825 1040 1370440 440 625 625 625330 330 460 610 710200 200 250 300 3002x 90 2x2x 90 2x 130 2x2x 130 2x3x 130326 326 600 890 1150

Rotary vacuum pumpWVCWhen producing fine vacuum incombination with a correspondingbacking pump, the WVC significanltlyincreases pump suction capacity andvacuum performance. The use of afrequency converter is particularlybeneficial, as the converter enablessimultaneous activation of rotaryvacuum and backing pumps atatmospheric pressure, therebysignificantly reducing pumping time.Technical Specifications: WVCModelWVC 180 WVC 360 WVC 800 WVC 1200 WVC 2500 WVC 4000 WVC 5000Rated pumping speed 50 Hz 1)Max. effective pumping speedof backing pumpWith a backing pump pumpingspeed ofFinal partial pressure 2)m³/hm³/hm³/hmbar170 310 745 1120 2450 3670 4890150 280 660 990 2210 3260 427040 100 200 300 630 800 1250< 4 x 10 -3 < 3 x 10 -3 < 3 x 10 -3 < 2 x 10 -3 < 2 x 10 -3 < 2 x 10 -3 < 2 x 10 -3Total ultimate pressure 2)mbar< 4 x 10 -3 < 4 x 10 -3 < 4 x 10 -3 < 3 x 10 -3 < 3 x 10 -3 < 3 x 10 -3 < 3 x 10 -3Max. permitted pressure drop incont. operation 3)In short-term operation < 3 min.mbarmbar1301801001508012080115509050703560Motor powerRated speed at 50 HzMin. - max. permitted speedwith frequencyRated pumping capacity atmax. speedShaft sealing and gearboxcoolingFlange connection: inlet andpressure side PN6 DIN 2501Flow directionWeight approx. 5)kWrpmrpmHzm³/hmmkg1.1 1.5 3 4 7.5 11 111200-540020-901200-540020-90900-480015-803000900-480015-80600-450010-75600-450010-75600-420010-70310 560 1190 1790 3670 5500 6850Air Water/air 4)50 65 100 100 200 200 250Standard: Vertical, from top to bottom48 60 145 160 360 365 5201)As per DIN 28400 ff;2)Achievable discharge pressure with single-stage oil rotary pump3)For a grading ratio of 1:5 in relation to the backing pump4)For sealing via magnetic coupling5)For sealing with oil barrier, incl.
