QUALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR ASSISTANT ENGINEER (IT) – 2012.The Candidates apply<strong>in</strong>g for Assistant Eng<strong>in</strong>eer(I.T.) should be hav<strong>in</strong>g B.E./B.Tech or anyequivalent degree <strong>in</strong> "Information Technology"or "Computer Science"Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g from auniversity re<strong>co</strong>gnized by AICTE or University Grants Commission with :-6.1 M<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>mum 65% marks <strong>in</strong> aggregate <strong>in</strong> case of Unreserved/OBC categorycandidates of M.P. domicile and candidates of all categories not hav<strong>in</strong>g M.P. domicile.6.2 M<strong>in</strong>imum 55% marks <strong>in</strong> case of SC/ST/Handicapped category candidates hav<strong>in</strong>gM.P. domicile.The candidates apear<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> F<strong>in</strong>al Semester/Year exam<strong>in</strong>ation may also apply,however thecandidates if selected for <strong>in</strong>terview shall have to produce the proof of hav<strong>in</strong>g passed the f<strong>in</strong>alyear/semester exam<strong>in</strong>ation with m<strong>in</strong>imum stipulated qualify<strong>in</strong>g marks for the respective categorybefore appear<strong>in</strong>g for personal <strong>in</strong>terview fail<strong>in</strong>g which their candidature shall be cancelled.7. AGE LIMITThe age of candidates as on 31.08.2012 should be:-7.1 M<strong>in</strong>imum age limit :- 21 years7.2 Maximum age limit :- 30 years


Candidates belong<strong>in</strong>g to SC/ST/OBC/Handicapped categories hav<strong>in</strong>gM.P.domicile,Widow/Divorcee/Ex Serviceman shall get relaxation <strong>in</strong> upper age limit to anextent of five(5) years.8. DOCUMENTS TO BE FURNISHED AT THE TIME OF INTERVIEW:-The candidates short listed for <strong>in</strong>terview shall be permitted to appear for <strong>in</strong>terview only afterverification of the follow<strong>in</strong>g orig<strong>in</strong>al certificates/documents about their eligibility :-8.1 Higher Se<strong>co</strong>ndary or High School Exam<strong>in</strong>ation certificate <strong>in</strong> support of date ofbirth.8.2 Certificate of Degree <strong>in</strong> "Information Technology" or "Computer Science"Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g with each semester's mark sheet from a re<strong>co</strong>gnized university.8.3 Work experience certificate,if any,<strong>in</strong> the relevant Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g field.8.4 Caste Certificate,(<strong>in</strong> case of reserved category candidates)issued by Sub DivisionalOfficer(SDO).8.5 In case of handicapped persons, certificate of disability issued by District MedicalOfficer.8.6 Domicile certificate , <strong>in</strong> case of candidates apply<strong>in</strong>g for reserved posts.8.7 Candidates serv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> government/semi government/public sector should submitN.O.C. from the employer.8.8 Photo identity card (Passport / Driv<strong>in</strong>g license/Voter ID/Bank pass book)8.9 Proof of permanent address.8.10 Widow/Divorcee lady should submit an affidavit/a certificate from <strong>co</strong>urt or as perthe rule of the caste.9. SELECTION PROCESS FOR ASSISTANT ENGINEER (IT) – 2012.a) The Eligible candidates shall have to undergo a written test <strong>co</strong>mpris<strong>in</strong>g of questions <strong>in</strong>relevant branch of Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g and General Aptitude (Logical Reason<strong>in</strong>g and GeneralKnowledge).Based on the requirement and merit the candidates selected <strong>in</strong> writtentest shall be called for personal <strong>in</strong>terview.b).Candidates are requested to download the admit cards through M.P. Onl<strong>in</strong>e(www.mponl<strong>in</strong>e.gov.<strong>in</strong>).c) The written test will be of 2 hours 30 m<strong>in</strong>utes duration.d) The question paper will be <strong>in</strong> English and <strong>co</strong>nsist<strong>in</strong>g of objective type (multiplechoice) questions.10. SELECTION AND APPOINTMENTBased on the marks obta<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> written test and <strong>in</strong>terview a merit list will be declared andcandidates shall be selected for appo<strong>in</strong>tment to the post of Assistant Eng<strong>in</strong>eer – IT from the meritlist.


11. TRAINING OF AE (IT) -2012The candidates selected shall have to undergo 6 months tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g.They shall be required toexecute a bond to <strong>co</strong>mplete the tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g and serve the <strong>co</strong>mpany for 5 years after <strong>co</strong>mpletion oftra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g.If the performance of a candidate dur<strong>in</strong>g tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g is not found satisfactory,his/herappo<strong>in</strong>tment shall be liable for cancellation.After successful <strong>co</strong>mpletion of tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g ,thecandidates shall be given regular appo<strong>in</strong>tment as Assistant Eng<strong>in</strong>eer(IT).Dur<strong>in</strong>g the tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>gperiod the tra<strong>in</strong>ee will be paid salary equal to the basic pay and other allowances applicable asper the "Wages and Allowances Manual".12. SALARYOn regular appo<strong>in</strong>tment as Assistant Eng<strong>in</strong>eer (IT) , after successful <strong>co</strong>mpletion of tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>ghe/she shall be absorbed <strong>in</strong> the pay scale hav<strong>in</strong>g basic pay Rs. 15600 and other allowances underwages and allowances manual as adopted/ amended/ modified by the <strong>co</strong>mpany from time to time.Theappo<strong>in</strong>ted Assistant Eng<strong>in</strong>eers(IT) shall be eligible for the Def<strong>in</strong>ed New Pension Scheme asadopted by GOMP and its implementation by the Company.13. GENERAL CONDITIONS :-14.1 The Candidate should be an Indian National.14.2 Candidates work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector,satisfy<strong>in</strong>g theeligibiity criteria of education and age shall have to produce N.O.C. from their present employerat the time of <strong>in</strong>terview fail<strong>in</strong>g, which they shall not be permitted to appear for the <strong>in</strong>terview.


14.3 All SC/ST/Handicapped candidates will be reimbursed to and fro se<strong>co</strong>nd class rail/bus fareby the shortest route for appear<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the written test and personal <strong>in</strong>terview, as per rule. But,they shall have to produce <strong>co</strong>py of caste certificate at the time of written test and personal<strong>in</strong>terview.14.4 Any dispute aris<strong>in</strong>g out of the selection process shall be dealt with<strong>in</strong> the jurisdiction of <strong>co</strong>urtsituated at Bhopal only.14.5 The m<strong>in</strong>imum degree of disability <strong>in</strong> order for a handicapped person to be eligible for any<strong>co</strong>ncessions/benefits would be 40%.14.6 The candidates must produce orig<strong>in</strong>al documents/certificates at the time of <strong>in</strong>terview <strong>in</strong>support of their qualification and experience for verification.14.7 The vacancies are tentative and may change at a later date ac<strong>co</strong>rd<strong>in</strong>g to the need of the<strong>co</strong>mpany.The <strong>co</strong>mpany reserves the right to fill or not fill any of the vacancies.14.8 The candidate shall be required to work anywhere <strong>in</strong> the jurisdiction of allotted <strong>co</strong>mpany'sarea.14.9 Age relaxation for ST,SC,OBC and Handicapped of M.P. domicile , Widow/Divorceelady/Ex Serviceman will be as per government rules.14.10 In case an Assistant Eng<strong>in</strong>eer once jo<strong>in</strong>s the Company , no request for <strong>in</strong>ter-<strong>co</strong>mpanytransfer will be enterta<strong>in</strong>ed.14.11 The appo<strong>in</strong>tment letter to the candidates will be issued on the basis of merit list(suject tothe availability of the vacancy).14.12 The candidates who have a third child born on or after 26.01.2001 are not eligible to applyunless tw<strong>in</strong>s are born after first child.14.13 If any of the <strong>in</strong>formation given by the candidate is found <strong>in</strong><strong>co</strong>rrect,his/her candidature willbe cancelled at any stage of selection and appo<strong>in</strong>tment.CHIEF GENERAL MANAGER (H.R.&A)
