Dear Friends,It was the most tense and fearful journey of Kardal’s life.As a trained Bible Planter, he was risking his life on a mission to smuggle100 Bibles into a closed Muslim country.Posed at the border, he sat trembling in the seat of the car used for publictransportation. As it approached the police checkpoint, he began to pray.He was painfully aware of his illicit boxes, and one of the other passengersnoticed his nervousness.Kardal felt faithless and terribly conspicuous, but as he prayed a quiet voiceinside him kept whispering, “Do not worry.”An officer approached and Kardal felt his pulse race. The officer peered intothe car, and zeroing in on Kardal’s boxes, asked to look inside them.Kardal felt as though he would have a heart attack, but could no nothingexcept comply. He started opening the first box, knowing that the game wasup. But just then, a shout came from another officer summoning the firstaway from Kardal! Both officers rushed to attend to an urgent matter, letting Kardal and the carfull of Bibles pass, unscathed, into the closed country. It may have been a close call in the mind of Kardal, but not in the mind ofGod.He planned the safe passage of His Word into the Muslim nation, and thoseplans began with Bibles and training provided with your help.Always remember that God uses your support to accomplish incrediblethings beyond anything we can imagine. With your help, the Word of God ispenetrating the borders of closed, hostile countries, even Muslimcountries—delivering the promise of the Gospel to those who wouldotherwise never hear it.Please honor Kardal by spending time in the Word this week, and join us inprayer for Christians living in closed and hostile countries.Thank you so much for your faithfulness.Your partner,Robert T. FrankChief Executive Officer
