By putting together herown super star team of nine professionals and aggressively coaching them in the pursuitof excellence, she and her team finished their lease-up four months ahead of scheduleand increased rents 10.6% ahead of proforma. In fact, her community finished 18%higher than budgeted occupancy, creating a positive N.O.I. over budget of $1.8 million.Those are some stats, folks! First-stringer Carrie is smart, focused and exemplifies trueprofessionalism – she’s a Camden Mentor, participates on the MAC and acts as a seniormanager to her peers. Go, Carrie, go!Al MatosGrounds Keeper, Camden Woods, Tampa, FLSince making the Camden team in 2004, Al Matos has exhibited all of the Camden valueson a daily basis. He treats every customer, every day, with the utmost respect, anddoes whatever is needed in the Camden Woods community. Unselfishly helping othersand described as a “quiet gentleman,” he is an even-keeled professional at all times. Alalways keeps his eye on the ball despite whatever is going on around him. Never late andrarely absent, Al is a team anchor and those around him know that they can depend onhim to make the right plays every day for the betterment of the entire community.Ahmed MoumarisCommunity Service Supervisor, Camden Reunion Park, Raleigh, NCNational ACE champ Ahmed Moumaris had to enter a lottery in his native country to beallowed to immigrate to the US. Who was the real winner of the lottery? His team andcommunity. Ahmed brought with him a wealth of experience, including strong customerservice and a sense of order that had been honed during his tenure in the hospitalityindustry. He worked hard to recruit, hire and train the right people for his team – peoplethat share both his work ethic and passion – to make their community a better place. Nowcommon areas shine, make-ready apartments are first-rate, amenities are well maintained,and there’s a sense of pride in the community that did not exist before he began to carrythe ball for Camden values.Amy GallardoBookkeeper, Camden Palisades, Las Vegas, NVDo the cheers ever stop for Amy Gallardo? It doesn’t seem that way. “She works harderthan anyone else I know,” says a teammate. “She makes coming to work fun,” addsanother. A Camden franchise player for 11 years, Amy has held numerous positionsand received many promotions due to her attention to detail, commitment to Camden’svalues and dedication to Living Excellence. 2006 NationalACE Award RecipientsAndrea TatumRegional Coordinator, St. Louis, MOReliable MVP Andrea Tatum is the backbone of the St. Louis and Louisville Districts. Sincejoining Camden in September 1993, she has taken on more and more responsibility, neverhesitating to assist with whatever is asked of her. Last year alone, Andrea took on morework with Facilities, marketing events, leasing rallies, awards and Camden University. Shenever wavered from her calm and positive “can do” attitude. She was also instrumental inthe success of the Joint Venture partnership of nine communities in 2006. Says one of herteammates, “We would never have been as successful without Andrea’s hard work and extraefforts.” Sounds like someone’s got some zealous fans.Kathy StocktonA/P File Clerk, Accounting, Houston, TXDespite being bombarded with requests from all parties – whether internal or external tothe company – National ACE winner Kathy Stockton is friendly and always goes the extramile to be helpful. During his nine-year career at Camden, Rey has won the respect of notonly the staff of the communities he’s been affiliated with, but with the residents aswell.
