The hope wasto end the impunity enjoyed by the globe’s worst perpetrators ofcrimes against the international community, but since then, the realityof international justice has been slow to materialize.JUDGING THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT exploresthe halting attempts throughout the 20th century to create an internationalcriminal court that culminated in the ICC. Co-hosts Ray Suarezand Deborah Amos begin at ICC headquarters in The Hague, andmove on to Uganda and the ICC’s ongoing prosecution of rebel leaderJoseph Kony. Amos also travels to the former Yugoslavia to gauge theeffectiveness of the international tribunal prosecuting war crimes inthe Balkans.
