Headquarters Support OfficerJob DescriptionMain purpose of job:To provide operational support to The Boys’ Brigade’sstaff team.Responsible to:IT/Communications ManagerSummary of responsibilities:• To provide support to all Brigade staff in respect to IT infrastructure (first line ofsupport)• Maintenance and updating of Brigade’s website• Administration of Awards, Events & Competitions• Maintenance of the Brigade’s databaseAny other reasonable duties as requested by Line Manager

IT Knowledge & experience• Good level of general IT competence – both in hardware and software• Ability to act as a “trouble shooter” in order to resolve day to day IT issues• Be able to demonstrate competence in the use of the internet• Experience of providing IT support would be beneficial• Experience in website creation and maintenance would be beneficial2. Organisational skills• Must be able to plan and prioritise own workload and meet agreed targets• Should be able to identify problems and their solutions and communicate these toother staff including managers• Willingness to learn new skills and have an ability to adapt priorities in a fastchanging working environment3. Communication skills• Must be able to demonstrate a high level of customer care• Be able to show tact and confidence when dealing with people on the telephone andby email4. Team Working• Ability to work effectively as part of a team• Willingness to support other team membersA knowledge of The Boys’ Brigade would be beneficial
