On 13th April Sue Weeksis holding a coffee morning at her home in Woodland Close. This invitation isalso to non-members who will be most welcome to join us for a coffee andchat. We have a busy year ahead, three members are going to the WI Collegein Oxfordshire in March, and in May a visit to Paris and Monet's garden, wheneight members will cross the channel. Our next meeting on 19th March is AnIntroduction to Antiques with David Holmes. Why not come as a visitor -more details from Ruth Lee 811528.Barrow and District Horticultural SocietyAt the end of the AGM in February the Secretary told us of the meetingsarranged for the 2005 season. It all sounds very interesting, starting with atalk by Carol Holmes on Friday the 18 th March when she will tell us about”<strong>The</strong> Plantation garden”, an interesting garden in Norwich. In April there is atalk on the Brecklands and its forests, flora and fauna; in May on “Gardeningon Clay”. Later in the year there are talks on Paugers plants - the beginningsand development of a local nursery, on bulbs, and we hope, on a visit one ofour members is making to New Zealand, a country with splendid scenery an avery rich flora. In addition there are the summer and autumn flower shows.Visitors and new members are always welcome at our meetings; thesubscriptions is just £5 per annum.
