Four schools were notinterested in obtaining an AED.Death DataTwenty schools (9%) reported adeath on school premises of whichthe person completing the surveywas aware. Twenty-three deathswere reported. The authors havepersonal knowledge of 2 additionaldeaths on school grounds that werenot reported in the surveys. Ofthe 25 total deaths, further detailswere attainable for 22 of the cases(Table 2). One death was from ashooting and one death was dueto head trauma. Of the remaining20 cases, 6 were students and 14were non-student adults. Deathswere reported as occurring as20 <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> Journal
