Itwill feature an eclectic selection of over 40 artworks that will be for sale from 17 participating galleries.Together, these works highlight the porous nature of boundaries as they shun the circumscription oflabels, cast off the clichés of identities, and eschew notions of a linear time.Curator Kamiliah Bahdar says about the selection of works, “The exhibition will be showing adiverse range of artworks from local to international artists, photography to paintings, and sculptures toinstallations. With the global nature of the contemporary art world today, artists draw influences andideas across both time and space. So it’s unfair to pigeonhole them along geographical lines. Rather, Ihope to tie the works together through common practices.”Originally founded in 1996, AGAS is a non-profit organisation comprised of the city’s leading artgalleries. And in keeping with its goal to promote art appreciation in Singapore, a walkthrough led bythe curator will be held on 20 and 27 July, Saturdays, at 2.30pm. Other initiatives currently in thepipeline that will raise the profile of the association and its members, while also contributing to theburgeoning art scene, are a new Singapore gallery guide in collaboration with Blouin Art Media and the‘Art in Motion’ gallery tour during Art Stage 2014.Page 1 of 3

The ‘Art in Motion’ event is designed toreally channel the audiences and art buyers who are in town to our gallery spaces and to value add totheir stay.
