-12<strong>10</strong>-(c) a final date that the test will terminate.(2) The department will field test all tier I systems as follows:(a) review data for correct file submission format;(b) test batch upload process for proper procedures;(c) test for ability to correct any rejected records;(d) test submitted e-mail addresses; and(e) evaluate transmissions <strong>of</strong> data for a 30-60 day period.(3) The department will field test all tier II automated accounting andreporting systems by requiring all proposed accounting systems to satisfactorilyrecord and communicate electronic meter readings and to demonstrate the systemcan reliably record and communicate complex transactions.(4) The department will provide a web site to allow on-line entry <strong>of</strong> tier IImeter readings. In addition, the department will provide an electronic spreadsheetwhich will allow for entry <strong>of</strong> required tier II data.(5) The department may approve an automated accounting and reportingsystem for purposes <strong>of</strong> field testing prior to final approval <strong>of</strong> the system.AUTH:IMP:23-5-115, 23-5-621, MCA23-5-631, 23-5-637, MCANEW RULE VI APPLICATION FOR A VIDEO GAMBLING MACHINEOWNER OR OPERATOR TO UTILIZE AN APPROVED AUTOMATEDACCOUNTING AND REPORTING SYSTEM (1) An owner or operator intending toutilize an approved automated accounting and reporting system shall, not less than60 days prior to the first day <strong>of</strong> the quarter in which the system is to be utilized,submit to the department an application for use <strong>of</strong> the approved automatedaccounting and reporting system.(2) The application shall provide the following information:(a) a description <strong>of</strong> the approved automated accounting and reportingsystem, including the name <strong>of</strong> the accounting system vendor;(b) a listing <strong>of</strong> all video gambling machines that will be connected;(c) information required for issuance <strong>of</strong> a user ID and password for internettransactions; and(d) e-mail addresses for authorized employees identified on the application.(3) The department may approve, deny, or request a modification <strong>of</strong> theapplication.(4) The owner or operator must demonstrate the ability to effectively operatethe approved accounting and reporting system, and the department must validatethe e-mail addresses for employees identified on the application.(5) In addition to utilizing an approved accounting and reporting system, theowner or operator will be subject to and must continue to keep records and filequarterly reports manually through the end <strong>of</strong> the quarter in which they apply forsystem approval.AUTH:IMP:23-5-115, 23-5-621, MCA23-5-637, MCA<strong>10</strong>-5/18/06 MAR Notice No. 23-16-177
