A Step-by-step guide to the <strong>North</strong>ern<strong>Deanery</strong>’s Online Course Booking SystemThe wait is finally over, <strong>North</strong>ern <strong>Deanery</strong> are pleased to announce their <strong>online</strong> Course BookingSystem has launched enabling you to both book and pay for courses <strong>online</strong>.This <strong>online</strong> Course Booking will offer many benefits, including:-Works in ‘real’ time so information you view is always up to dateCourse full – add yourself to the ‘reserve list’ as you’ll be contacted if a space becomesavailable or more events may be organised if demand is high.Secure <strong>online</strong> payments functionQuicker processCPD record – course attendance record in one place (applies for courses April 2011 onwards).Lost your certificate? Simply print another!To gain the benefits of the new system and to apply for courses with the <strong>North</strong>ern <strong>Deanery</strong>, you willfirst need to ‘register’.REGISTERINGRegistering yourself onto the system could not be easier; simply go tohttp://www.northerndeanery.nhs.uk/<strong>North</strong>ern<strong>Deanery</strong>/ and select Dentistry and click on the link to thecourse <strong>booking</strong> system.Click the ‘Register’ button on the home page and you will be asked to complete the details below
Once submitted, you will receive email confirmation of your password and system generated PIN.SIGN INPersonal details – At this point you can check and update personal details: A number of thesefields are mandatory.EVENTSThe EVENTS page will provide a current list of available courses run by the <strong>North</strong>ern<strong>Deanery</strong>.You will have the option to search for a particular course by title or filter by Course category,Target audience and/or Type.
Evaluations/Certificates of attendance:Evaluations must be completed in order to receive a certificate. Certificates, whenavailable, can be viewed and printed from the ‘My Courses’ folder.Apple products - For those using an Apple product, if connecting via Safari, you may encounter problems whenprogressing from the <strong>online</strong> <strong>booking</strong> system through to the payment screen (error stating payment server notavailable). This is due to the cookies being disabled.
