Thestudent wouldn’t admit that hewrote the note. Officials at theschool suspended the student forfive days.10/9 - USBR Plant Protectionadvised police that an employeedrove recklessly as he approachedthe Station 3 guard shack. Theguard reported the incident to hissupervisor who called police. Anofficer met with the employee whodenied the report. The officer’s reportis being sent to the OkanoganCounty prosecutor’s office forpossible action.- An officer stopped a driverknown to be wanted on an arrestwarrant. The officer also noticedthat her passenger was not wearinghis seatbelt. The woman wasadvised she was under arrest, andthe man allegedly gave the officera false name, but finally confirmedhis real name. He was alsowanted on a felony warrant out ofSpokane. The two were taken toGrant County Jail.10/10 - A woman living on BurdinBoulevard asked for extra patrolsbecause she told police thatshe had been “flipped off” severaltimes and was concerned.- A woman called police andreported that her husband, whodoesn’t live with her, was drinkingand driving around in a whitepickup. Police found the man, whothought he was in the passengerside of the vehicle, and the officercould see that the keys of the vehiclewere on the floor. A rifle inthe pickup was secured and theman’s sister came to pick him up.10/11 - A man walking on SR-174 was picked up because an officerknew of a warrant on him.He told the officer that someonewas using his name. The minordriver was cited for this andfor having persons under 20 ridingwith him.10/12 - A woman on Weil Placecontacted police about oil on hersteps and the imprint of a shoe inthe oil. She said she had seen aman who lives on Dill Avenue atthe site. Police contacted the manand noted that the imprint of hisshoe was the same as the imprintin the oil. The shoes were takenas evidence and the report wentto the prosecutor’s office for possibleaction.10/13 - A man with a Germandriver’s license was cited in ElectricCity for going 77 mph in a 35mph zone.- Police were called to KingStreet on a report of domesticviolence. Police found a man andwoman yelling at each other. Theystated that there was no violencegoing on and that they were justyelling over a football game.- A Moses Lake driver wasstopped because the officer couldsee that a passenger wasn’t wearinga seatbelt. The driver wascited for allowing a person to ridewithout wearing a seatbelt andfor having people in the vehiclewho were underage because of hisrestricted license.- Police found a brush fire inthe alley of Burdin Boulevard andcalled the fire department. Beforeit arrived, a couple came outsideand said the fire was theirs. Afterthe officer explained that theycouldn’t burn, the couple put thefire out.- Police helped a stalled driverget his vehicle going at Riley Point.The officer furnished starter fluidto help the driver.10/14 - A woman reported thather husband who suffers from dementiawas missing. Police foundthe man and returned him to hisresidence.Coulee Dam Police10/8 - A concerned citizen advisedpolice that a person knownto be wanted on an arrest warrantwas inside the Coulee DamCasino. Police waited for the suspectto leave the casino and thenpulled the car over. She was taken to the OkanoganCounty Jail.10/12 - A business owner calledpolice to report he found a safenear the rear door to his business.Police stated that the safe was unlockedand empty.
