124The HDL Studio Modelably want to collectively refer to a digital document at somepoint. If at all possible, avoid relying on a projector due to thesleep-inducing effects of turning out the lights. Using a largeformatflat screen and keeping the lights on helps set a tonethat is more conversational and allows the Studio to fluidlymove between using different kinds of analogue and digitalmedia without fuss.Do not forget to have a printer, preferably a fast laserprinter that is located in the Studio space itself and not downthe hall.Info PointDedicate part of one wall, preferably near the entranceor the kitchen, for posting the latest schedule of the week,short biographies of everyone that the Studio will be meeting,and essential details such as the password for the wirelessnetwork. We learned the hard way that it is very difficult tocontrol a schedule that involves a lot of moving parts. Peoplechange their arrival time or become unavailable and thingssometimes run late. For this reason, the printed schedule thatwe handed out at the beginning of the week was just an overview,and we kept the latest schedule posted on a large formatwall calendar that was updated as needed in the old fashionedway: with a marker.
