EAST MEADOW HIGH SCHOOLYEARBOOK 2013Advisor: Mr. JosephDear Parents and <strong>Senior</strong>s:Your senior year is going to be one of the best years of your lives and your yearbook is something youwill keep forever. This packet contains some very important forms for your yearbook. Included in this packetare the senior bio and senior survey forms as well as information about ads and the purchase of the yearbook.The senior bio and senior survey are due by Friday, October 19 th . Place the forms in the yearbook bin,located in Room E3. Due to time constraints, you will not be contacted if there are errors.Also included in this packet is a picture deadline sheet. This sheet gives the deadlines and briefdescriptions of photos that are also included in the yearbook, such as, baby pictures and senior siblingpictures.<strong>Senior</strong> Survey: Answer as many or as few questions as you would like. Be creative and be honest. The bestanswers from the entire senior class will appear in the yearbook. Due by Friday, October 19 th .<strong>Senior</strong> Bios: Since the bios are a reflection of your personal tastes, we understand your need to include jokes,nicknames, and/or private moments. Inappropriate content will not be included in the 2013 <strong>Yearbook</strong>. Forexample, if you have a nickname that makes sense to you but would be questionable to the administrationand/or the <strong>East</strong> <strong>Meadow</strong> community, you must explain the nickname on the sheet you submit. Due to timeconstraints and the volume of bios we will be receiving, we will not notify you if your bio is deemedinappropriate and will NOT accept updates or changes to your bio. If you feel your bio would be in jeopardy ofremoval, feel free to see an administrator or Mr. Joseph. We strongly recommend that you have your parentsread and approve your bio prior to submission. This is your ONLY chance to make a lasting impression, somake it a good one. Please read the requirements/directions below, complete the attached forms and leavethem in the yearbook bin located in Room E3, no later than Friday, October 19 th .SENIOR BIO REQUIREMENTS/DIRECTIONS:1. MAXIMUM 150 CHARACTERS. Characters include letters, numbers, commas, quotation marks,question marks, and exclamation points. Spaces between words are NOT counted – they are“free”.2. You are allowed to include your name, nicknames, school activities and quotes. If you do not havea nickname, school activity or quote, leave these spaces blank.3. Please fill out the attached sheet. It is your responsibility to count 150 characters. If you go abovethat, we will cut out parts of your bio at our discretion. You will not be notified of this. It’s yourjob to fill out the form properly, clearly and professionally. Please print neatly.4. You may NOT use all capital letters – Capitals should begin names, quotes and sentences only.5. You may NOT include any profanity, inappropriate phrases, letters or numbers in your bio. Any bionot conforming to these guidelines will NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE 2013 <strong>Yearbook</strong>.
