<strong>Boonsboro</strong> HistoryThe town of <strong>Boonsboro</strong>, located in WashingtonCounty, was founded in 1791 by brothers George<strong>and</strong> William Boone (cousins of the famous DanielBoone). The town grew over the years becauseof the National Pike <strong>and</strong> today consists ofapproximately 3,200 residents.<strong>Boonsboro</strong> <strong>Elementary</strong> <strong>School</strong> is located in thetown’s Educational Complex. The middle <strong>and</strong>high school buildings are also part of thecomplex situated on over 95 acres.<strong>Boonsboro</strong> <strong>Elementary</strong> <strong>School</strong> was originallybuilt in 1950 <strong>and</strong> included 12 classrooms, akindergarten room, small library, <strong>and</strong> a multipurposeroom. In 1992, a new addition wascompleted which included eight new classrooms,four special area rooms, <strong>and</strong> officespace.
