PHYSICS
• What is the unit of (i) speed (ii) acceleration?
• Draw distance – time graph of a body moving at uniform speed.
• Show the location of a point on a graph which is 5 m and 45 ○ north of east.
• Derive the equation.
1 2
o S = ut + at using a speed time graph.
2
• Draw a velocity versus time graph of a stone thrown vertically upwards and then coming
downwards after attaining the maximum height.
• A motor cyclist drives from A to B with uniform speed of 30 km/hr and returns back with a
speed of 20 km / hr. find its average speed.
• An object starting from rest travels 20m in first 2 sec. and 160m in next 4 sec. what will be the
velocity after 7 sec. from the start.
• The minute hand of a clock is 7 cm long. Find the displacement and distance covered by it
from 9.00 am. To 9.30 am.
• Show that for a body thrown vertically upwards, the speed time and velocity time graphs for the
complete journey are not identical.
• Define radian. Show that 1 radian = 57.3 ○ .
GERMAN
• Read the given short stories and translate them.
Tim ist Tom
Tim und Tom sind Zwillinge. Sie gehen in die Real schule. Tim geht in die 8a. Tom geht in die 8b. Tim
Was
nun?
Mathenachhilfe
Hein ist schlecht in Mathe. Er hat eine fünf. ,, So geht das nicht weiter. Du brauchst
Nachhilfestundeb’’, sagt Heins Mutter. ,, Oh nein!” ruft Hein. ,, Bitte nicht! Ich hasse Mathe!”. ,, Hör
zu. Wir machen es so ‘’, sagt Heins Mutter. ,,du nimmst Nachhilfestunden. Und ich schimpfe nicht
mehr über deine laute Musik.” Hein stöhnt. ,,Na gut”, sagt er.

,, Was mache ich den? “, fragt Hein seine Freunden am nächsten Tag. Es ist Pause. ,,Frag doch die
schlaue Petra”, sagt Tina. Alle lachen. Petra ist neu in der Klasse. Aber sie hat noch keine Freunde.
Auf dem Schulhof ist sie immer allein. ,, Warum nicht? “, denkt Hein. Er geht zu Petra. ,, sag mal,
,,Gern”, sagt Petra.
Am Nachmittag kommt Petra zu Hein. Sie erklärt die Aufgaben sehr gut. Danach hören Hein Und
Petra Musik.
Petra kommt nun jeden Montag zu Hein. Hein findet Petra ganz süß. Am liebsten möchte er jetzt
jeden Tag Mathe lernen.
