NFC-DEP ProtocolRWT ACTIVATIONA specific RWT is defined for the ATR_REQ Command. For this Command, the Target startssending its Response frame within RWT ACTIVATION (response waiting time). Refer to Section14.6.2 for the definition of the ATR_REQ Command.NOTEThe response waiting time RWT ACTIVATION is introduced and defined in thisdocument.Requirements 212: Response Waiting TimeInitiator14.11.1.3 Following the ATR_REQCommand, the Initiator MUST waitat least RWT ACTIVATION +∆RWT forthe SoD of the ATR_RES Response.If the Initiator does not receive theSoD of the ATR_RES Responsewithin RWT ACTIVATION + ∆RWT +∆T INITIATOR , then the Initiator MUSTtreat this as a Timeout Error.Refer to Appendix A.10 for thevalue of ∆RWT and ∆T INITIATOR .Between RWT ACTIVATION +∆RWT andRWT ACTIVATION +∆RWT+∆T INITIATOR , theInitiator MAY accept the ATR_RES or MAYgenerate a Timeout Error.14.11.1.5 Except for the ATR_REQCommand, the Initiator MUST waitat least RWT+∆RWT for the SoD ofthe Response from the Target.If the Initiator does not receive theSoD of the Response from theTarget withinRWT+∆RWT+∆T INITIATOR , then theInitiator MUST treat this as aTimeout Error.Between RWT+∆RWT and RWT+∆RWT+∆T INITIATOR , the Initiator MAY accept theResponse or MAY generate a Timeout Error.Target14.11.1.4 Following the EoD of theATR_REQ Command, the TargetMUST wait no longer thanRWT ACTIVATION before sending theSoD of the ATR_RES.Refer to Appendix A.10 for thevalue of RWT ACTIVATION .14.11.1.6 Except for the ATR_REQCommand following the EoD of aCommand, the Target MUST waitno longer than RWT before sendingthe SoD of the Response.For NFC-F frame timing, the FDT F,LISTEN,MAX defined in Section 6.7 equals RWT - 16 bd (where16 bd is the bit duration of the SoF).
