Bendable glass
types
• Low-iron extra-clear glass, e.g. Diamant (Saint-Gobain),
Optiwhite (Pilkington)
• Tinted float glass (e.g. Parsol)
• Anti-reflective glass e.g. Amiran®, Conturan® (Schott AG)
• Mirror with chrome coating MIRASTAR® (Saint-Gobain)*
• Self-cleaning glass: Bioclean® (Saint-Gobain)
• Cast glass and rolled glass (with some limitations)
• Antique sheet glass
• Wired glass
• Screen printed glass (screen print on the inside)
• Decoration glass
• Frosted glass
• Mattfinished glass (partial or completely)
• Etched and sandblasted glass, also with CLEAR-SHIELD®
• Bevelled glass
• Enamelled float glass
• Shatter-resistant with security window films
• Partial or complete coverage with coloured glass
painting. Powder coating is also available.
*Notice: The values listed under Technical Data are only for guidance. The geometrical parameters of a curved glass pane, the min./max.
values of the parameters as well as the requested glass assembly are closely linked and influence the corresponding limiting values of each
other. Limits of size, dimensions, possible glass thickness and bending angles are determined according to individual arrangement and
thorough technical examination. Restrictions in the form of shape must be expected.
Remark: technical modifications and errors
excepted!
see float glass
The following glass types can be used for the production
of curved double glazed units:
• Solar control glass with hard coatings, e.g. ANTELIO,
COOL-LITE ST 150, STOPSOL, Sunergy, Silverstar
Sunstop T or with combined solar and thermal control
coatings e.g. COOL-LITE ST 167*, Sun-Guard Solar®,
Sun-Guard® HP *
• Heat protection glass
Planitherm Ultra N II (soft coating),
K-Glass (hard coating)
• Acoustic protection glass compositions with "Stadip
Silence" (sound insulation interlayer) are also available
• Safety termal insulating glass in connection with
heat protection, acoustic protection, sun protection
and special laminated safety glass combinations with
different resistance class according to DIN EN 356
For all curved glass products manufactured in our company, the general tolerance and conditions in accordance to "Guideline
for thermal bend architectural glass products ", BF-datasheet 009/2011 from Bundesverband Flachglas e.V. and the "Guideline
to Assess the Visible Quality of Glass in Buildings." are valid (unless otherwise agreed in writing).
• Cavity width range: preferably 6 - 14 mm, max. 20 mm
• Insulating glass gas filling: Argon, Krypton
• Production with Super Spacer® TriSeal
• Warm-edge-technology, thereby excellence features
in thermal isolation
• Glass compositions are depending on geometry
• Special insulating glass for stepped-units with UVresistant
edge seal
• The closer radius, smaller dimensions, the higher load
on the edge seal because bending stiffness (less
pumpable)
• Performance data of glass compositions (light transmission,
light reflection, energy transmission, energy reflection,
UV-transmission and g-value) can only be mentioned
according to values of comparable planar glass
compositions (calculation with CALUMEN software)
At the moment we are able to achieve a Ug-Value up to 1,1 W/m 2 K for double-glazed units in accordance with
DIN EN 673. With an curved triple-glazed unit, even a Ug-value up to 0,5 W/m 2 K in accordance with DIN EN 673 is
possible. We produce insulating glass units in accordance with EN 1279. For more information of marking
products please contact us.
