Stress the importance of co-ordination between sectors to achieve impact on health especially on theincidence of diarrhoea, malnutrition. Immunizable diseases as well as other water <strong>and</strong> sanitation relateddiseases such as acute watery diarrhoea, cholera etc. Within the WASH sector, Engineers <strong>and</strong> hygiene promoters must work together to ensure that themaximum benefit from the intervention is achieved. <strong>Hygiene</strong> promoters must inform engineers ofcommunity feedback <strong>and</strong> engineers must be prepared to clarify <strong>and</strong> use this feedback to inform the design<strong>and</strong> siting of facilities etc.<strong>Nutrition</strong>, <strong>Hygiene</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Promotion</strong> <strong>Training</strong>: <strong>Training</strong> for Trainers Guide April 2012 13
