Just toensure that you really get away from itall, <strong>Hassness</strong> doesn’t have TV.Check in on arrival is from 3pm.Dinner is served at 7pm.Arriving at <strong>Hassness</strong>To reach the hotel…By car: from Preston (M6) leavethe motorway at junction 40 to jointhe A66 to just beyond Keswick andcontinue on the minor roadfollowing Newlands Valley via Stairand Keskadale to Buttermere.Reaching the edge of Buttermerevillage, turn left on to the B5289and continue for approximately 1¼miles and <strong>Hassness</strong> estate is on theright.Alternatively take the B5289 fromKeswick via Grange, Borrowdaleand Gatesgarth direct to <strong>Hassness</strong>and the estate will be on your left.By rail and coach: the nearestrailway station to <strong>Hassness</strong> isPenrith. You will need to take a busfrom Penrith railway station toKeswick bus station. Once here ataxi (check the price first) or 50minute bus ride will take you to theguest house.There are several buses a day fromKeswick to <strong>Hassness</strong> (just beyond


Buttermere Village towards theHonister Pass) usually departingfrom about 09.20. However the Autumncan see warm clear days although it canbe cold and wet - at any time of year.
