HMI | System descriptionSystem SLIOPerformance and ApplicationThe operating and monitoring devices from VIPA are universal in the manufacturingand process industries, but can also be used in building automation. Theline displays and touch panels are designed both for watching and for the activeuse of machinery, plant and buildings.System 100VParameterization and ProgrammingThe Text Display TD 03 is confi gured with the free tool, TD-Wizard *). The operatorpanels OP 03 and Commander Compact CC 03 devices are confi gured withOP-Manager *) or alternatively with Siemens ProTool. The PLC CPUs integratedin Commander Compact CC 03 are programmed in addition via WinPLC7 withSiemens STEP7.The basis for the touch panels are Windows Embedded CE operating systemsfrom Microsoft. Then the applications and visualizations offered by VIPA (alsopartially their own) are ported. The user can choose between two powerfulvisualization systems: Movicon Real Flexible and zenon. VIPA Touch Panels areshipped with pre-installed operating system and a visualization system correspondingto the selected runtime. The project, created with the appropriate editoron the PC, is transferred via data cable or memory card from the PC to theTouch Panel.System 200VSystem 300SMemoryThe Text Display TD 03 has no built-in memory. The messages, generatedwith TD-Wizard, are stored in the CPU. The Operator Panel OP 03 make 256kByte and the Commander Compact CC 03 devices 128 kByte work memoryavailable for projects. Incorporated in the Commander Compact CC 03 devicesis an additional 16/24/32 kByte work memory for the PLC program. The touchpanels offer up to 2048 MB of user memory (depending on the model). Externalexpansion of the memory can easily be achieved by inserting a CFII or MMC-/SD-Card.System 500SHMIFunctionsDepending on the device type different and very versatile functions are realizable.The Text Display TD 03 is provided primarily for the simple presentation and theacknowledgement of messages. With the Operator Panels OP 03 advancedoperating and monitoring tasks are already being realized with their own projectsdeposited in OP 03. Touch panels have multi-functional use. Depending on theapplication projects with up to several thousand variables will be realized on thePC. Thereby CPUs, higher-level systems and other devices are connected forthe purpose of data collection, data sharing, visualization and operation.CommunicationThe exchange of data with the CPUs occurs at TD 03 and OP 03 via MPI. TheCommander Compact CC 03 devices combine display and operating elementsas well as PLC CPU with I/O peripherals in one casing.
