<strong>Banias</strong>The <strong>Banias</strong> Oil Terminal consists of 6submerged oil pipelines extending from thecoast between the south entrance point ofHuraysun Bay and the mouth of NahrHuraysun 1.75nm SSE.The terminal handles incoming and outgoingcrude oil and petroleum products.Traffic figures: Approx 330 vessels call theterminal annually.Max size: Tankers up to 130,000t for loadingand 97,000t for discharging.


LattakiaWith a total area of 2,850,000 squaremeters, of which 1,350,000 squaremeters is dedicated to the basin, thePort of Lattakia is the main Containerhub in Syria.Lattakia lies approximately 40 km to thesouth of the Turkish border.The port handles the same type ofvessels as in Tartous with moreemphasis on Container ships.Vessels of up to 240 meter LOA maketheir port calls through an entry channelwith a draft of 12 meters. As per lateststatistics, over 7,000,000 TONS ofcargo is handled per year.


TartousThe port of Tartous lies approximately 35 kmto the north of the Lebanese border.The port offers sheltered harbor, protected bytwo main breakwaters. It covers an area of3,000,000 square meters, with the basincounting for 1,200,000 square meters.It can accommodate vessels of up to 65,000TONS, with a draft of 13 meters. As per lateststatistics, around 8,000,000 TONS of cargo ishandled annually.The Tartous Port has traditionally served asthe main General Cargo Transit port in Syriato Iraq and other neighboring countries. Thetraffic handled by the port is diversified andfacilities exist to accommodate tankers, Ro-Ros, container ships, general cargo andbulk vessels.
