Hazards identificationTHE MOST IMPORTANT HAZARDS ARE:This products are not classified as dangerous accordingto CHIP.THE MOST IMPORTANT HAZARD IS:Dust from sawing or s<strong>and</strong>ing may irritate the respiratorysystem, skin <strong>and</strong> eyes.3. Composition / information on ingredientsGeneral composition for cove <strong>and</strong> cornice: Calciumsulphate dihydrate encased in paper liners, naturalconstituents may include minor amounts of quartz. Smallamounts of starch, foam <strong>and</strong> dispersants may be added.General composition for strips <strong>and</strong> battens: Calciumsulphate dihydrate with a glass fibre tissue immediatelybelow the surface of the board on both sides <strong>and</strong> a corereinforced with glass fibre rovings.4. First aid measuresEye contactSkin contactS26 - In case of contact with eyes, rinseimmediately with plenty of water <strong>and</strong> seekmedical advice..S28 - After contact with skin, washimmediately with plenty of soap <strong>and</strong> water.IngestionInhalationGeneral5. Avoid eye contact – see Section 8for recommended personal protective equipment <strong>and</strong>Section 3 for hazard identification.Manual h<strong>and</strong>ling – Lengths can be unwieldy, use anappropriate lifting technique. The weight of each lengthcan vary between products. For manual h<strong>and</strong>ling purposesassume a maximum weight of approx 1.4kg per linearmetre. Individual carton weights can be found in bothtables on page one.Mechanical h<strong>and</strong>ling – The dimensions of the pallet varydepending on the product size. To avoid potentiallyoverloading a lift truck, it is important that any effect onload centres is considered.
