Current priorities - You are telling us that the following issues are apriority in your area1. You said ... Tackle ASB and graffiti in the local area in particular the YouthCentre.We Did ... Increased patrols at key times and periods. Working together with theYouth Centre in challenging behaviour of large groups of young people.Tackling ASB and making parents aware of behaviour of their children. Makingall accountable as members of the community.2. You said ... Tackle offenders of Graffiti.We Did ... Ensure through partners that offensive graffiti is removed promptly.Deal with offenders through a new initiative called Community Resolution whereoffenders payback for their offences by putting right there errors throughcommunity work. This has already proven successful with our partnership worthwith the Shack Youth Club3. You said ... Concerns around speeding vehicles across the ward area.We Did ... Regular speed checks and education as well as enforcement fordrivers. Support Councillors and local community leaders in applications fortraffic calming measures resulting in recent changes in Shillingstone Drive and<strong>Muscliff</strong>e Lane. The community has a part to play in this also, as a very highpercentage of those drivers stopped in the local area were local residentsPrevious priorities - You said… We did1. You said… There were thefts from unlocked vehiclesWe have… Delivered letters to various roads making residents mindful ofremoving valuable items from vehicles. You said… Vehicles are speeding in Shillingstone Drive and ChesildeneDriveWe have… Been carrying out speed checks in the area, issuing speedingtickets where necessary.We have also been speaking to residents, advising them about the possibleconsequences of speeding.Warning signs have been put up on Chesildene Drive to encourage motorists todrive carefully in the area.This issue remains a priority for the Safer Neighbourhood Team and PCSOs areplanning to collate reports of persistent speeding vehicles3. You said… There is nuisance horse riders in <strong>Throop</strong>We have… Carried out a number of high-visibility patrols in the area andspoken to residents and horse riders in order to make the local communityaware of the negative affect that this issue is having. NEWS IN YOUR AREAYour Safer Neighbourhood Team (<strong>SNT</strong>) would encourage all residents to become amember of a Home Watch Group, and to subscribe to our Ringmaster system (whichenables us to provide you with dates of local meetings, good news stories, crimeprevention advice and other updates).This is to ensure that you are aware of what is happening in your area and to explainhow you can further assist us by working together to reduce Crime and Disorder inyour local community.To join a Home Watch and Ringmaster please contact your <strong>SNT</strong>.You have asked us to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB). Enhanced patrols havebeen carried out recently by officers in North Bournemouth, with particular attentionpaid to Friday and Saturday evenings. ASB has reduced significantly across the areathanks to the work from officers, partners, and you and your community.We will continue to work towards reducing ASB even further, and would ask allparents to monitor their children, to make sure they are staying safe and out oftrouble.
