2.2 Sea Trout CatchesThe 2013 declared rod catch for Sea Trout was 1,194 (Figure 7), a 29% reduction on the 1,680 caught in 2012.As for the previous six years, monthly catches (Figure 8) show that the most Sea Trout caught in any one monthwere in June with 418 fish caught (35%). July was again the second highest month, with 373 caught (31%).Overall therefore, two thirds of Sea Trout caught were recorded in these two months.1,194 Sea Trout were caught in 2013, a 29% reduction on the number caught in 2012 (Photo: Dr James Butler)22
