Andrew BiscoeThe Commander’s Cuphas joined the busy regimenfor Patriot Wing UTAs.Dodgeball and softballcompetitions — amongfour squadrons, began inSeptember and wentinto October.The year-long Commander’s Cup willfeature volleyball and basketball on the Novemberand December UTAs.While the Base Ellipse and fitness centerare common backdrops for squadronsto perform their physical fitness training, thiscompetition challenges squadronsagainst each other.“Everyone — from airman basic to chiefto squadron commanders -- plays,” said SeniorMaster Sgt. John MacIntyre, 439th SecurityForces Squadron. “It’s a really good event —it gives you bragging rights.”Besides security forces, other participatingsquadrons so far are aerospace medicine,airlift wing staff, and aeromedical evacuation.The Commander’s Cup is open to all unitson the base. Teams earn points for participationand for placing in the event. The unit withthe most points will receive the Commander’sCup trophy on the December 2008 A UTA.“The Commander’s Cup is anongoing program that has been aroundin the uniformed
