James Barnes<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> services squadron.Sergeant Barnes said prompt attendance isrequired. If a team is late for any reason,<strong>the</strong> team contact must inform <strong>the</strong> fitness centerstaff before start time at Ext. 3958.The last Comm<strong>and</strong>er’s Cup was last held atWestover about 20 years ago.Richard Heller, acting fitness centerdirector, coordinated with Air Force ReserveComm<strong>and</strong> services <strong>of</strong>ficials earlier this year toget <strong>the</strong> competition revived at <strong>the</strong> base.“Over a year ago when we were still in Bldg.5102, I talked to <strong>the</strong> services comm<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong><strong>the</strong>y said it was something <strong>the</strong>y wantedto get into. Gen. WadeFarris, 439th Airlift Wing comm<strong>and</strong>er. “The lastthing I want to see is someone reporting for PMEwho can’t pass, <strong>and</strong> is sent back home.”While <strong>the</strong> passing grade for fitness tests is 75, afive percent buffer is in place so reservists whoreport for PME are fully prepared for <strong>the</strong> test.Reservists should contact <strong>the</strong>ir unit fitnessmonitors for more information.
