With respect to the wide thematicscope of these projects, individual sections of the documents were drawnup by different authors and the reader may therefore consider this documentrather as a collection of papers related to a particular topic.We consider necessary to mention the difficulties in the financing of the researchplan. Even despite positive evaluation during the opposition proceduresheld in January 2002, and in spite of the positive assessment of the CESNET2network by the international organization TERENA during its comparison ofacademic networks (June 2002), the financing of the research plan has not beensafeguarded until now. We are convinced that finally, we will be able to gatherthe funds required.
