She worked for theU.S. Department <strong>of</strong> Commerce as an International TradeSpecialist and Export Administration Specialist, where shehelped firms develop high-potential international markets andcounseled them regarding regulatory obligations. She has livedin the Dominican Republic and is fluent in Spanish.Meghoo said, “A Foley & Lardner representative told me itwas a tough choice, because all candidates were well prepared.He was speaking about my Virgil Hawkins Summer Fellows,first-year students who typically have little experience with thelegal pr<strong>of</strong>ession.
