Hugo Lake Bathymetric/Sedimentation StudyAs at Sardis, the OWRB conducted a bathymetric mapping study of Hugo Lake andresults showed that sedimentation is occurring at the anticipated rate (Figure 24). Similarconcerns were expressed about the shallowness of Hugo Lake at the marina, which regularlylimits boating and related recreational opportunities in the area. Data resulting from thebathymetric study confirmed that, at the lake’s normal level, depths near the marina are only afew feet in many areas.The Kiamichi River Basin Working Group also agreed that Hugo Lake sedimentationmust be considered in all future lake level management <strong>plan</strong>s.
