ApplicationDigital ohmmeter DO 200/2000 P is designed for measuring the resistance of firing circuit at blasting. Maximum resistanceis up to 2000 Ohms. Measuring is done in two ranges: to 199.9 and to 1999 Ohms. The range is switched over automatically.By its circuit and construction design it may be applied both on the surface and in the underground as well as in adangerous explosive environment.II. Description and functionsOn the front panel, the ohmmeter has 3½-place digital (LCD) display under a transparent cover indicating the valuemeasured.Initiating network or measured resistance is connected to self-locking push clamps. The power is supplied by three 1,5 V battery cells placed under the cover. The battery exchange should be done in thesafe environment free from the explosion danger with the cover closed watertight again. A special key loosens the screwson the cover. The data accuracy is guaranteed in 1 minute after the battery exchange approximately. If measuring clamps are short circuited by a suitable wire, the rights functioning of the device and battery control areachieved. The device switches on and the display lights up. „Lo“ flashing on the display indicates the battery voltagedecrease and necessity to exchange. The device switches on automatically after the resistor measured is connected to the measuring clamps. After thestabilising period (5 s approx.) the value of the resistor measured may be read up. If the ohmmeter range is exceededin the case that resistance higher than 1999 Ohms is measured, „oF“ will appear on the display. In the case that thedevice does not switch on after the resistor is connected to measuring clamps, the resistance measured is too high orthe resistor may be breached. If the display indicates „E1“ function, the ohmmeter malfunctioning is probable and should be dispatched to the manufacturer.III. MaintenanceDuring the regular operation the status of the supplying battery is only observed and its timely exchange is done. Thebattery type LR 6 (AA) or its equivalent should be taken. The measuring clamps and area around them should be cleanas the dirt and moisture may influence the value of the resistance measured. The device should be protected against vibrations, falls and other mechanic influences. This ohmmeter must be test in accordance with local and national legal concerning the devices designed to measureelectric firing circuit. The producer recommends to test this ohmmeter once a year at accrediting testing room or byproducer.V. StorageOhmmeters should be stored in rooms without any aggressive and other vapours in the temperature range +5 to +35 ºC.VI. Packaging and markingThe device is packed in a cartoon box delivered without power supplying battery. In the package it may be transported bycurrent transport means at the ambient temperature -10 to +40º C. The device has the manufacturer‘s label indicatingthe type, manufacturer, environment marking, supplying voltage and production number. A key to disassembly thebatteries cover is also enclosed.VII. Temperature rangeThe device may be used in the temperature range -15 ºC to +40 ºC.VIII. Warranty periodThe life expectancy is assumed for 5 years. The manufacturer gives the warranty period of 24 months starting from theday the ohmmeter DO 200/2000 P was sold. The manufacturer is not responsible for failures caused by transport or unprofessional treatment after the device wasdelivered and is not liable for damages caused by inappropriate ohmmeter application resp. if used for other purposes. The discharged batteries containing heavy metals should be thrown away only into disposal containers designed for thispurpose at the battery dealer. Wrap-up material and damaged devices should not be thrown into fire. Out of order devicescontain electronic components and should be disposed as electronic scrap or returned to the manufacturer.IX. Qualification assumptions for the maintenance and controlling personnelThe maintenance and controlling personnel should pass training specialised to the relevant regulations effective for thisbranch in the relevant country.NOTE:LCD display of the reflex type needs a suitable external lighting up for reading.Measuring clamps should be protected against DC resp. AC; otherwise the device may be damaged. The ohmmeter should be in no case used with the cover or clamps damaged. If the display indicates „E1“ symbolresp. other irrelevant data or the ohmmeter is evidently damaged, the device should not be used and is to be returnedto the manufacturer resp. your dealer‘s service for repair and testing.X.
