<strong>DoD</strong>M <strong>4150.07</strong>-V3, <strong>May</strong> <strong>23</strong>, <strong>2013</strong>10. NON-<strong>DoD</strong> PESTICIDE APPLICATOR TRAININGa. Purpose. Non-<strong>DoD</strong> pesticide applicator training is available to U.S. Coast Guard, nonmilitaryfederal department and agency (e.g., DOI, Forest Service, VA), and contractor personnelwho apply pesticides on federal properties.b. Procedures. <strong>DoD</strong> Component training centers may require tuition reimbursement fromcontractor personnel trained in accordance with <strong>Vol</strong>umes 1 and 2 of this manual.(1) Non-<strong>DoD</strong> federal departments and agencies (e.g., DOI, Forest Service, and VA),Coast Guard, and contractor personnel who apply pesticides on federal property may attendformal training courses on a space available basis. <strong>DoD</strong> Component training centers and traininglocations are identified in Appendix 1 to this enclosure.(2) Contractor personnel completing non-FIFRA pesticide applicator training can beprovided <strong>DoD</strong> non-FIFRA certification in accordance with <strong>Vol</strong>ume 2 of this manual.11. SERVICE-SPECIFIC TRAINING REQUIREMENTSa. PMP Training and Certification Requirements. PMPs must obtain core training andFIFRA certification in specific pest control categories by successfully passing a closed-bookwritten examination following completion of either a <strong>DoD</strong> correspondence course or <strong>DoD</strong> formaltraining.b. Additional PMP Training Requirements. Additional PMP training requirements areprovided in <strong>Vol</strong>ume 1 of this manual.12. MAINTENANCE OF TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION RECORDSa. Purpose. This section provides the procedures for maintaining records of pestmanagement training, recording information on pest management training and certification, asapplicable, and using the information for overall program management. These records may beused to:(1) Meet <strong>DoD</strong>, federal, and/or State requirements.(2) Provide program oversight.(3) Document eligibility for certification and recertification.(4) Identify additional training needs.(5) Answer data calls.<strong>23</strong>ENCLOSURE 3
