Gus made All-State Chorus and,in summer 2011, did mission work in Bolivia and studiedabroad in Granada, Spain.Alexis LaBarba ’08 is a senior at Memorial High School.A member of the International Thespian Society, she ispart of the Memorial High School Theatre and playedElectra in Gypsy during her junior year. Alexis attended theEdinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland, where she playedthe role of Ugly in the musical Honk. Alexis plans to studytheater in college.Corrine McGrath ’08 is a senior at St. Agnes Academy,where she was chosen to be a member of the CampusMinistry Team. She was also selected for the PerformanceWorkshop, which is an 18-member girls’ choir with a popand jazz repertoire.Carter Mizell ’08 is a senior at Episcopal High School.He had an outstanding baseball season and received theAll-Tournament Team Award in the Ewell Jackson Tournament.He was also All South Zone for this season andreceived the Most Improved Player award.Caroline Montgomery ’08 plays varsity volleyball atThe Kinkaid School and won both All SPC and All SouthZone awards last season. She is a member of the ActingCompany and is co-directing a production this spring.She has also been selected as a senior peer mentor forincoming freshmen.Mallory Moreton ’08 attends Second Baptist HighSchool. Last spring, she won the Gold Award for Violin,the Silver Award for Pre-Calculus, and the BronzeAward in Business Computers. She was listed on theAchievement Roll for her academic success. Mallory alsocontinues to participate in the Greater Houston YouthPhilharmonic Orchestra.Julia Nini ’08 has had three wonderful years at EpiscopalHigh School. She has been on the cross country andtrack teams since her freshman year and has been activein the EHS Acolytes and SOS programs. She was chosenas an SOS officer for the 2011–2012 school year. Juliawas the photographer this past summer at Camp Spike‘n’ Wave, a camp for children with epilepsy, and spent hersummer volunteering at Texas Children’s Hospital and atThe Rise School for children with Down syndrome. Shealso enjoyed being a counselor at Camp Longhorn.Forrest Surles ’08 was involved in two productions lastyear at Episcopal High School. He played Guildenstern inRosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and Jack in Intothe Woods. He also played four roles during the year withthe acting troupe Masque. As a member of the EHS choir,Forrest auditioned for and made All State Choir as a tenor.He also plays guitar for the EHS Jazz Band and co-wroteand performed an original jazz song.Edward Taussig ’08 attends Episcopal High School.Edward was awarded the honor of Eagle Scout on June 5,2011, with Troop 354 at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.Maryam Amjadi ’09 is enjoying Memorial High School,where she plays on the lacrosse and field hockey teams.She is excelling academically, is publicity director ofthe Memorial Mustang Outreach Bunch, serves on thestudent council, and is a design editor for the yearbook.Maryam still has a passion for art and continues to wincontests.Belle Brennan ’09 is a junior at St. Agnes Academy. Sheplays lacrosse, and her team won the Division III StateChampionship last spring. Belle also serves on the CampusMinistry Team.Izzy Bujosa ’09 loves being a student at Episcopal HighSchool. This past year, she was on the track team and inthe photography club. She has also stayed involved withchoir.Katie Butler ’09 was in the St. Agnes/Strake Jesuitproduction of Zombie Prom. She also completed her firstyear of singing in the Triple Trio, which performed for threeweekends at the Texas Renaissance Festival. Katie wasre-elected to student council for the third year and wasgiven the honor of Most Outstanding Sophomore in Choirby the choir directors. She continues to shine academicallyand made the High Honors honor roll.Jack Detiveaux ’09 completed his second year inHouston Christian High School’s Distinguished ScholarsProgram. Jack was also on the HCHS swim team andcompeted for the second year at the TAPPS State Tournamentin San Antonio.Evangeline “Bug” DiMichelle ’09 attends The HotchkissSchool. Last spring, she traveled with her school toKenya, where she witnessed firsthand the poverty, disease,and lack of education that challenges the country’syoung girls on a daily basis. She also worked to help finisha new computer center in Kenya, and now the girls ather school are able to correspond with the girls they metthere. Bug also traveled to Thailand with her family.Caroline Doyle ’09 is a junior at Memorial High School.She is still playing field hockey with her St. Francisfriends.Matt Ellis ’09 is a junior at The Kinkaid School, where heplays football. Matt was proud to be on the team whenKinkaid won the Southwest Preparatory ConferenceChampionship in fall 2010.Lindsay Graham ’09 is a junior at Episcopal High Schooland is enjoying EHS immensely. She is a percussionist inthe band and plays three varsity sports: field hockey, soccer,and track. She earned All SPC in three track eventsand was selected to play in the National Field HockeyChampionship last summer in Virginia Beach.Megan Jamieson ’09 attends St. Agnes Academy, whereshe is an Honor Roll student. She is also a Junior Lieutenantof the Tiger Girls Dance Team and a member of theelite Remix Dance Company.Jennifer Jenkins ’09 is attending Memorial High School.She is a member of Student Council, SAMMS 9 Spirit44 St. Francis Episcopal Day School

Hewas elected as Council Prefect for hissophomore year, and was elected to serveagain his junior year. Luke served as anacolyte and is also active in Young Life.Ivan Morris ’09 attends Houston ChristianHigh School. Ivan played varsity footballand lacrosse as a sophomore and wassecond team All-District linebacker. Overthe summer, Ivan was recruited to playtournament lacrosse with Dallas Selectteam in Denver; Dallas; Chapel Hill, NorthCarolina; and Rhode Island.Abby Porter ’09 attends Episcopal HighSchool. She is very active on the yearbookand won the Most Promising YearbookStaff Member Award. She also won MostImproved on the softball team. Abbycontinues to be an honor student and willserve as president of her class this year.Edie Powers ’09 attends The KinkaidSchool. She recently traveled to Lima,Peru, for a three-week home stay; performedin the Kinkaid musical Fiddler onthe Roof; and played varsity softball.Abigail Roberts ’09 is a junior at EpiscopalHigh School. This past year she playedon the varsity field hockey, soccer, andsoftball teams. She is active as a memberof the Leadership Council for SUMMIT(Chapelwood United Methodist Church’smission trip) and as the first Vice Presidentof the Bayou Villages Chapter of NationalCharity League. She also attended CampMystic for her ninth summer.Cliff Roberts ’09 plays football for EpiscopalHigh School. His freshman year, heplayed wide receiver and safety. He isenjoying high school and is doing well inhis classes.Lee Roberts ’09 attends Episcopal HighSchool. He played freshman basketballand pitched for the freshman and juniorvarsity baseball teams. Lee is doing well inhis classes and is enjoying high school.Madison Whittington ’09 attends EpiscopalHigh School. She continues to enjoymusic and the arts. This past summer, shetraveled to Italy with EHS’s Art Tour Group.She participated in the 2011 SketchbookProject and contributes to three photographyblogs. Madison was accepted intoHonors English and attended the BardCollege at Simon’s Rock Young WritersWorkshop this past summer.Kathryn Williams ’09 is a junior at EpiscopalHigh School, where she plays volleyballand tennis and participates in SOS.Nazie Amjadi ’10 loves The KinkaidSchool and is excelling academicallythere. She serves as an ad editor for theKinkaidian and is a leader in the SpecialOlympics program. Nazie plays fieldhockey for her school; she also plays soccerand lacrosse for club teams.Anna Bailey ’10 is a varsity cheerleaderat Episcopal High School. She was named tothe TAPPS 5A All-State Tournament Team,All-District Team, and All-State SecondTeam. She also made the High Honorshonor roll.Catherine Clay ’10 attends St. AgnesAcademy. During her freshman year,Catherine served on Student Counciland played volleyball and junior varsitylacrosse.JoJo Diesel ’10 attends The HotchkissSchool. She recently went to Nicaragua ona service and immersion trip, where shewas able to enjoy the country’s beauty,but she also served by visiting schoolsand orphanages and building roofs onhouses. At Hotchkiss, JoJo participates inthe Invisible Children, Gospel Choir, andGlobal Awareness clubs, and she alsoplays varsity soccer and track and field.David Tate Foor ’10 is serving as theJunior Class President at The KinkaidSchool. He is also co-captain of thevarsity swim team. David Tate recently ranhis fifth neighborhood drive to provide aThanksgiving dinner for the firemen andfamilies of Houston Fire Station 69. Heappeared on a radio talk show to discussthis project.Eddie Gaudier ’10 is enjoying living inthe Texas Hill Country. He was a TAPPSAcademic Champion, placed fifth in theTAPPS district in social studies, and letteredin track. Eddie attends Our Lady ofthe Hills High School in Kerrville, Texas.Abigail Henningsen ’10 is a varsity cheerleaderat Episcopal High School. Shealso runs track, is very involved with thevisual arts, and is a member of Studentsfor Service.Kaitlin Karcher ’10 loves St. AgnesAcademy. As a freshman, she received theEnglish Award for Ninth Grade and a SilverMedal for the National Spanish Exam, allwhile making the Highest Honors roll. Kaitlinacted in the fall play, Romeo and Juliet,and the spring musical, Zombie Prom.She is also on the varsity and competitiondance teams.Joshua Kassab ’10 attends The KinkaidSchool, where his favorite subjectscontinue to be science and math. Overthe summer, he attended a science campthrough the Duke TIP program. He studiedastronomy, physics, and astrobiology atthe PARI Observatory in North Carolina.Marisol Leiva ’10 is a sophomore at St.Agnes Academy, where she is active inStudent Council as a delegate. She wasselected by her biology teacher to attenda summer medical camp—National YouthLeadership Forum in Boston. Marisolmade the St. Thomas High School Cheerleadingsquad and is still dancing. Shewon three scholarships for dancing intensivesand monetary prizes for her solo.Madison McAdams ’10 is attendingChatham Hall boarding school in beautifulChatham, Virginia. She started for thevarsity field hockey team last fall andmade All Conference after playing in theconference championships. Madison hasmade friends from all over the world and isreally enjoying her experience.Maddie McIntyre ’10 is a varsity cheerleaderat Episcopal High School. Shemanaged the boys JV1 and JV2 baseballteams and also danced in the springdance concert. She is involved in SOS, ArtClub, and Troop for Troops.Cole Medrano ’09 attends Strake JesuitCollege Preparatory, where he is an honorstudent and was recently inducted intothe National Honor Society. Cole playedjunior varsity football, varsity wrestling,and lacrosse. He is also a member of theJuggling Club and the Key Club.Caroline Mizel ’10 is an honor studentat Episcopal High School. She made thevarsity volleyball team last season as afreshman.Ryan Ogilive ’10 attends Strake JesuitCollege Preparatory. He is in the Strake/St. Agnes choir, on the wresting team, andin the engineering club.
