~ 4 ~4.5 No angler shall stay at the Lake for more than 48 hours at one stretch. Bivouacs may notbe erected on the timbered walkways. The gents’ toilet is never locked and should be used. Theladies’ toilet is locked when no Superintendents are on duty and a key will be issued free ofcharge on application to the <strong>Angling</strong> Section Secretary and Treasurer.4.6 All fishing shall be with rod and line. No barbed hooks or micro barbed are to be usedat <strong>Henleaze</strong> Lake. All tackle must be dry before use in the Lake. All fish shall be handled withcare and returned immediately and alive to the water. Any lost angling lines must be reported tothe bailiffs promptly. Hook and Rig checks are made from time to time by the bailiffs andoffenders will be banned. Please make sure your Rigs are safe.4.7 Keep nets may not be used from April to September inclusive. No carp or other fish over2lbs shall be kept in a keep net at any time. All keep nets and landing nets must be thoroughlydried from their previous use before being brought to the Lake to prevent fish disease prior tofishing. The same applies to unhooking mats.4.8 Matches are not normally held and in any event shall only take place on those swims thatare not occupied.4.9 Every angler is permitted to use two rods. No rods shall be left unattended.4.10 No fish shall be brought in from other waters without the approval of the HSC ExecutiveCommittee and an Environment Agency Permit.4.11 Pike fishing, midnight 31 October to midnight 14 March, shall be by Senior Anglers onlyand shall observe the following practice: no live baiting at any time. The only permitted deadbaits are sea dead baits and trout. A minimum 15lbs line, wire trace, large landing net, unhookingmat and correct disgorgers must be used. If pike lures/spinners are used two of each treblebarbedhooks must be crushed, only one barbed hook per treble shall remain. The use of allleadcore, braided mainlines and shock/carp leaders (i.e. where there is any knot above thehooklink) on any baited rods is not permitted.. There shall be NO Night fishing for pike.4.12 Unhooking mats must be used when unhooking carp and taking photos. Mats must besuitable and safe to land carp. Carp Sacks are not permitted.4.13 No litter of any sort shall be left behind and all anglers shall co-operate to keep the Lakequiet, clean and tidy. Tackle may not be discarded at the Lake. All rubbish must be taken home– under no circumstances shall bread, paper or rubbish be thrown into the water or left on theground. Defaulters will be banned from the Lake.4.14 No umbrellas, rod rests or other objects shall be pushed between the boards on theboardwalks. Ground bait must only be used in reasonable amounts. Peanuts and tiger nutsare banned. No lead core or braided main line may be used.4.15 No guns or weapons are allowed at the Lake unless authorized by the HSC ExecutiveCommittee. No alcoholic drinks shall be brought to the Lake. No dogs are allowed. The MainGate to the Lake must be kept locked at all times when the Lake is closed for swimming and noSuperintendents are on duty.4.16 All anglers are expected to co-operate in the preservation of the wildlife and the naturalamenities at the Lake, conduct themselves in a sportsman-like manner, and observe goodangling etiquette.4.17 Members are encouraged to volunteer for work parties organised by the Bailiffs from timeto time.4.18 <strong>Fishing</strong> in areas which are out of bounds or in swims or areas which are temporarilyclosed is prohibited.
