OREGON CITY PHYSICAL THERAPY2013 WINTER PERFORMANCE PROGRAMSYouth Development ProgramPrepare Now. Succeed Later.At <strong>Therapeutic</strong> <strong>Associates</strong> Oregon City <strong>our</strong> Youth Development Programs aredesigned <strong>to</strong> give developing athletes the <strong>to</strong>ols they need <strong>to</strong> perform betterin their sports. The <strong>program</strong> focuses on developing overall athleticism andis ideal for athletes looking for that edge over the competition. Our winter<strong>program</strong> will last 12 weeks in which athletes can attend 1-3 sessions/week. 3sessions/week is recommended, as it will promote the greatest improvement.Speed, Agility, Quickness (SAQ) (Ages 10-14):The speed, quickness and agility portion of the <strong>program</strong> will focus onbuilding these 3 important movement characteristics of athletes. Mostimportantly we will teach young athletes <strong>to</strong> move more efficiently throughpostural and form corrections, patterned movement skills and movementcoordination. As athletes improve in these areas they will increase their firststep quickness, lateral quickness, explosiveness, deceleration, overall speedand more.Strength and Power (S&P) (Ages 10-14):The Youth Development Program also focuses on building athletic strengthand power through training movement and not simply muscle. Ourtraining methods utilize multi-joint movement <strong>to</strong> enhance strength andpower applicable <strong>to</strong> complex sport movement. We train neuromuscularcoordination, core stability & strength, joint stability, and sequentialmuscle firing for coordinated, strong and powerful movement. We focus onmaximizing an athlete’s strength <strong>to</strong> weight ratio for increased performance intheir sport.Program Pricing:1 session / week $25.00 / session x 12 weeks = $300.002 sessions / week $20.00 / session x 12 weeks = $480.003 sessions / week $15.00 / session x 12 weeks = $540.00* Athletes may register anytime for reduced week <strong>program</strong>s. He was an all-league selectionin both sports, and is the all-time leaderin 3-pointers in a season (82) and 3-pointpercentage in a season (46.7%) at OCHS.He went on <strong>to</strong> attend Lewis & Clark Collegegraduating in 2006 with a BA in Economics.As a basketball player for Lewis & Clark hewas a 4-year letter winner, 3 year starter andtwice selected <strong>to</strong> the NWC All-ConferenceTeam. He holds Lewis and Clark and NorthwestConference Records for 3-pointers made in a game (12) and season (99),and is second all time in a career (299). In 2008, after a 2-year stint incommercial real estate, he returned <strong>to</strong> Lewis & Clark as the strengthand conditioning coach for the men’s basketball team. It was duringthis time he realized his passion for athletic performance training.After f<strong>our</strong> years with the team he continued on <strong>to</strong> work at TWIST SportConditioning Center and has worked with athletes of all ages and levelsincluding 2-time Olympic gold medalist Mariel Zagunis and Kansas CityChiefs linebacker Gabe Miller. He is passionate about taking athletes <strong>to</strong>the next level in their sport.CLINIC DIRECTORMatt Rogers PT, DPT, OCS, CSCSMatt grew up in Oregon City, OR and wasvaledic<strong>to</strong>rian and captain of the footballand track teams at Oregon City High School.He then attended the University of Oregongraduating in 2006 with a BS in HumanPhysiology. He received his Doc<strong>to</strong>rate inPhysical Therapy from Creigh<strong>to</strong>n Universityin 2009. In 2011, he graduated from an APTAOrthopaedic Residency in 2011 and became aBoard Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist.He specializes in manual therapy, sports andorthopaedic rehabilitation and the ASTYMsystem.
