Full-time entering freshmen. High school graduate with a minimum (weighted or unweighted) 3.5 GPA. Strong high school and/or community leadership record. Demonstrate financial need based on UCLA Financial Aid Office standards. Must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2 andbe eligible for financial aid at UCLA.Award Amount: Minimum $2,000 for fees and educational materials.Application Procedure: Complete the <strong>National</strong> <strong>Notary</strong>/Raymond Rothman <strong>Scholarship</strong> application. Write an essay (300 words or less, two double-spaced pages maximum) that focuses on yourleadership activities and how this scholarship would help you both financially andacademically.(The essay will represent a sample <strong>of</strong> your writing.) Provide a transcript – either <strong>of</strong>ficial or un<strong>of</strong>ficial. Provide a letter <strong>of</strong> recommendation from a school instructor, counselor, or administrator.Note: Recommenders may mail the completed recommendation separately, but the reviewcommittee strongly suggests that recommendations be submitted by the student togetherwith all other requisite application materials.
