Examples include Tsilhqox (Chilko River and Lake), Dasiqox (TasekoRiver), Yuhitah (Yohetta Valley and Lake), Ts’uni?ad Biny (Tsuniah Lake). 7937. Tsilhqot’in place names in and about the Claim Area include prominent mountainpeaks, prime resource areas, archaeological sites, sites that relate to specific oraltraditions and other significant sites for Tsilhqot’in people. 80 These place namesindicate “Tsilhqot’in people have been in the area for a very lengthy period of time”. 8138.
